You might remember a recent date night makeup look I posted when I was still pregnant using Almay products.
Lately my “date nights” have been all about cuddling with our sweet little newborn Harper
so today I’m delighted to have been asked by BlogHer to share an Almay-sponsored video series called “Different Occasions. Different Looks. Always Pretty.” In the first video, you’ll learn to re-created a date night look by Kate Bryan of The Small Things Blog.
And speaking of date nights—let me know when you had your first date night with your husband post-baby!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

first official date night was when my son was seven months. KOOZA cirque do soleil. Please do not wait that long. do it before you feel ready. yes before, because i have seen people who have 20 month olds who have never had a date night. a friend sold tickets to her favorite band because she didn't want to leave her daughter. I left my son with my dad and two brothers. My older brother left, (too much crying for him) my dad tried to help but my younger brother didn't let anyone else help. he rocked him bathed and fed him. they were both sleeping soundly when i picked him up.

Our first date night was a few weeks ago for our 10 year anniversary. Our little man was 18 weeks old.
One of my girlfriends came over to watch Cooper after he went to sleep – and my husband and I went out to dinner.

Our son was in the NICU for a week so we went on a date night six days after he was born just outside the hospital for some better food. After that my sister watched him for a early movie and lunch at about 10 weeks old….he slept the whole time. Earlier is easier to go for coffee or a meal because there is no separation anxiety. When they hit one it gets harder to get outl

I was on bedrest for 6 weeks, but I think our first REAL date was for my birthday in September, so four months…..waaaaay too long!

First, congratulations! Harper is adorable!
Regarding date nights… Wow, I guess we were earlier than most – our first date was when our son was 3 or 4 weeks old. My husband's parents were visiting for a week and we dashed out for a quick dinner one night. Our son slept the entire time. We, of course, spent the entire time talking about him, but it was so nice to get out of the house even for an hour or so.
I agree with a previous poster, it was easier to get out when he was younger as he didn't have the seperation anxiety (though I did!)

My birthday was about six weeks after she was born. My mom watched and we went out for dinner. I was amazed at how much I missed her in three hours, but I was proud that we got out when we could.

Our first date night was on New Year's Eve. I was 5 weeks PP. I had no desire to go out, but my parents insisted. I am so glad that they did. It was good for us to get dressed up and leave the house for a few hours.

My baby is 5 weeks old and we still haven't had a date night! I'm thinking like one of your other commenters said, I really have no desire to go out but getting dressed up and going out sounds good! Even if it's just for a drink or two.

we had a wedding to go to when my son was only 10 days old… I was a nervous wreck, but glad we stepped out for a couple hours. Our first real date was when he was 7 weeks. My husband surprised me and took me out to my favorite restaurant while my mom watched the baby.
