This morning by some amazing miracle, Harper woke up at 6:30, had her bottle, played around in our bed for a bit and then went back to sleep until 9:30! It was glorious and though I had to wake up to pump, I did get about an hour and a half of extra sleep after that. What a great way to start the day!
After our morning sleep-in, we went to Harper’s last swim class for the season (we will resume again in the fall). As always, Harper had a good time and I was able to capture the adorable picture below.
Harper’s bathing suit- here
After swim class we decided to head to Local for some lunch (I recommend the crunchy chicken sandwich with the pestole soup) and then we got the stroller out of the car to walk off our lunch, grab some Starbucks and check out some strollers.
(a very poor attempt at a lunch selfie with Harper trying to eat the belt of her chaircover)
We are on the hunt for an umbrella stroller for travel. If you have any recommendations, please let me know! We liked one that we checked out at Right Start called the Mountain Buggy Nano because it folds up super small and comes with a travel case. It’s more than I wanted to spend on this kind of stroller, but I figure we will get a lot of use out of it if we have a second baby as it’s one of the only umbrella strollers on the market that can also hold an infant car seat in it—it also reclines and has an extended leg area, a feature a lot of less expensive umbrella strollers are missing. We love our UppaBaby Vista but it’s a little big when running quick errands. It’s more of a stroller for things like long walks, trips to the park, trips to the zoo, etc…
I also stopped in at Baby Gap to return the (adorable) yellow gingham dress that didn’t fit Harper and they were having a 40% off promotion in store (use the code “HAPPY” online) so I picked up some summer items for her. It’s safe to say I’m addicted to Baby Gap.
Harper has also grown out of all of her 6-12 month PJ’s so I picked up some larger ones since we dress her in new PJ’s every night. And the windowpane print dress? I just can’t even. I want one in my size (seriously, how beautiful would it be in a pencil or full skirt silhouette?)
gingham romper (not available online, but love this) | stripe romper | plaid flutter dress
If you follow me on IG, you’ve probably already seen the precious Houston gold foil print from All Things Pretty on Etsy. I absolutely love it and I can’t wait to hang it somewhere in our home— I’m thinking the entryway!
I also bought a MadeByGirl iphone case for my new iPhone 5S. I really love it and the print wraps around the sides too. It’s very “spring.”
Wishing you a HAPPY weekend!
FTC: all items were purchased with my own money except for the Houston print. All opinions are my own.

It may be safe to say that sleep does get better! I finished pumping two months ago (almost) and that has been a major time saver. I'm still nursing twice a day though. Aubrey's been going to bed between 7:30 & 8:00 and sleeping until 7, sometimes 8 or even 9!
I went to Baby Gap today and they didn't have any if these items:( I love that dress- hope they get it in stick here. I still found a bunch of stuff though-

I just did a ton of research on umbrella strollers. I was seriously considering that one or the uppa g luxe. I ended up buying the Britax B Nimble. It has the car seat feature too, plus a lot more like an add on stroller board for older toddlers/kids. The only downside is that britax just retired the b nimble, with no plans to replace it with another umbrella stroller. They are still in stores, but they are no longer going to manufacture them.

Hi Veronika ! We have a bugaboo cameleon as our main stroller but it is not great for travel so we purchased the Maclaren Quest Sport and I love it ! This was 3 years ago and it's still going strong for our second child. It has a great recline and folds up super small. Maclaren is a great brand ! We had a Quinny zapp as well that I like the look of but at the time that model didn't recline.

And I should also mention our Maclaren has gone over 10 flights now being thrown around I'm sure by the gate check workers and is still in excellent condition ! That one you are looking at looks pretty cool too !Quinny zapp also comes with a travel bag.

I'm officially addicted to baby Gap also! They have some seriously cute clothes and good quality too! For an umbrella stroller, I have the Maclaren Globetrotter and love it. We've used it for a few trips and its super easy to fold/check in at the airport. We chose the Globetrotter over the Volo (the lightest) bc it reclines (we found that useful since my daughter was 5 months when we first bought it).

We have the UppaBaby G-Luxe & love it! It reclines & folds up pretty small.

We really love our Chicco Liteway. My parents watch our daughter and use it as a daily stroller (we have a BOB that we keep at our house). It's a very light umbrella stroller, but sturdy enough to take the curbs and has held up really well (almost 2 years now). There's a newer version of it out right now. I believe Chicco is 20% off at Target and you can print a $20 off $100 coupon AND a 20% off any baby item coupon for extra savings. https://coupons.target.com/baby-coupons

The pic of Harper and K is do sweet! Looking fwd to your umbrella purchase since we since need to get one, just not sure if we want a single or dbl. love the gap picks, I can't believe Harper wears new Jammie's every night! Is there a reason?

I guess I thought that's what you did and we got used to it? When she was a baby baby she had a lot of blowouts so we had to change them but now I guess we do it out of habit and I figure she sweats etc. Maybe we should try re using them. How often do you change them? I'm glad yiu brought it up it will save us laundry!

We love our Upppa Baby G-lite and it only weighs 8 lbs. The G-lux weighs 11 pounds and is a little bit more pricey, but reclines. We haven't found the lack of reclining to be a problem too much. The travel bag must be purchased separately, but so far, it has protected the stroller on flights.

We have a Mountain Buggy double jogging stroller and it is a really awesome stroller. The umbrella stroller looks just as well made. My only complaint with my stroller is that the sun shade is really short. I usually end up having to drape one of my Aden and Anais blankets over it to help keep the sun out of my kids eyes. But other than that, it is such a great stroller and I have been really happy with it.

Love so much in this post! The pic of your husband and Harper is so sweet. I love the gold foil Texas print and the phone case. Love Madebygirl! All of the outfits are perfect as usual! Those little shoes! Harper is one fab baby in her stylish little outfits. Btw you have really great skin!

Harper is just the cutest!!! I did hours and hours of research before buying our umbrella stroller. I wanted something that reclined and was light weight for travelling. I narrowed my search to the macklaren quest and uppababy gluxe. Originally I purchased the quest but hated the small sun shade and found it was hard to access the storage basket!! Oh and for the price they really should have included a cup holder! I ended up returning it and getting the gluxe and so far have been super happy with it! I like how it stands up on its own, has a large sunshade and cup holder!!! I just like the overall look better than the Quest and its cheaper! Good luck with your decision, I spend an embarrassing amount of time researching major baby purchases but at least I know in the end I've picked the absolute best for us and our baby! PS My baby girl wears new PJs every night too and she's 9 months. I thought this was also the norm? Xx
Christie2012 says
Why wouldn't yall just wash them? My baby certainly doesn't wear new PJs every night 🙂
Christie2012 says
New PJ's every night? Is washing them not good enough? Just wondering, my baby definitely does not wear new PJs every night, that would be very very expensive 🙂
Christie2012 says
hahaha now I think I misunderstood your post. You mean "clean" PJs every night, as in not wearing the same PJs more than once before washing, I now assume? OK well I do that too then LOL.
[email protected] says
yes we wash them hehe 🙂 sorry the way I wrote it didn't make sense!

On an umbrella, make sure there is ample storage underneath to put things like purse, diaper bag, carry on, etc if you are going to use it for travel. I fly by myself a lot with G and it's hard to keep everything all together! I usually do my checked bags with the concierge guy outside because it's pretty impossible to pull even one suitcase + push stroller. A smaller one will be much easier for security and such. AND if you want to go lay on the beach….take your mom or MIL! You won't get to relax much with Harper on the go!

I just got the gold foil Texas print, too, and love the frame and matte you paired it with. Where is it from?
