Today I’m going to go to one of the bigger Forever21 stores with Candice to try and find some hats and gloves for my Slovakia trip and also our Paris/London trip in December. I also have to return a few things. I’ve decided to return the American Eagle jacket with the fur hood. I really like it, but I don’t know that I’ll wear it that often when we are in Europe (because I have my long black coat) and I just would rather buy a jacket that I can layer under so that I can wear it here in Houston too, where it doesn’t really get cold enough to wear such a heavy coat. I’m also planning on using my 20% off Sephora coupon today.
I feel like life is such a whirlwind right now. I leave on Wednesday afternoon to go to Slovakia. I’m going to carry-on so packing will definitely be tight. I’m pretty much going to bring all black clothes and boots and a coat so I think I’ll do OK with just the carry on and a very large purse. I’m only staying until early Sunday morning.
Thank you again so much, from the bottom of my heart for everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers to me and my family. It really means more to me than I can express in words.
xoxo,
Veronika.
PS— I don’t know that I will be able to blog while I’m gone…but I might try to do some entries in advance so something’s going up ever other day or so. I have a few product reviews that I’d love to share.

Veronika my heart is with you right now! Your grandmother seems like she was a true beauty, inside and out. Maybe this will be something that can bridge the gap between you and your mother (with time). My prayers are with you and your family….maybe pamper yourself a little at home with a face mask and bath to relax and ease your mind. Be safe on your trip back to Slovakia. <3

Oh Veronika, I'm so so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. What a shock – I can't imagine how this must be affecting you right now.
I remember looking at your wedding photos and thinking how young your grandmother looked.
I'm thinking about you and hope that things go well for your trip on Wednesday. I'm so sorry.

Im so sorry to hear about your grandmother. May God bless her soul and give you patience to endure your loss. Your trip back home seems like it has been needing to happen anyway -17 years is a long time to be away from your family and homeland esp for someone as young as you.
We of course dont know each other well, but I think that this trip will be good for you – think of it poetically- returning to from where you began. It will be a good opportunity for you to rediscover some elements of yourself and reunite with some things that were lost. Keep an open mind and heart 🙂
Kindest Regards and best wishes

I'm sure this trip will be full of all sorts of emotions for you and although I don't know the situation between yourself and your mother sometimes it takes something terrible to bring something great, so maybe this can be your time to keep and open heart about everything and remember that family is forever. Sometimes forgetting the hurt and anger of your past are ways to heal and make your future better.

May I ask what caused you & your mother to become estranged? I am just curious, but will respect it if you don't want to share.
