Now that I’m just two and a half weeks away from my due date, I thought it would be a good time to share my pregnancy favorites.
I’ll start with skincare because it’s the first thing I changed when I got a positive pregnancy test. My two favorite skincare products have been Belli’s acne control spot treatment and Belli’s eye brightening cream, both created with ingredients safe for pregnancy.
The spot treatment does seem to help keep blemishes at bay and treats existing ones. It’s not as strong as formulas I used before pregnancy, but it gets the job done and I’m thrilled I found a spot treatment that was safe to use.
I’ve also really enjoyed Belli’s eye cream. I wasn’t initially head over heels with it, but over time I really did notice that it was keeping the skin under my eyes bright and well moisturized. Plus, one tube lasted me my entire pregnancy!
Next up are stretch mark creams. Let’s face it—stretch marks are totally based on genetics, but it doesn’t hurt to keep you growing belly supple and moisturized. My favorites ended up being Mustela’s double action stretchmark cream and Belli’s belly elasticity oil.
The Mustela cream is the absolute perfect texture and I liked its light, sort of floral scent. It feels like a really luxurious cream and it absorbed really nicely into the skin. I also ended up getting baby products from Mustela’s line and I can’t wait to use them!
Belli’s elasticity oil smells heavenly and spreads super easily. I liked alternating between a cream and an oil. Both products also last a really long time, especially when you’re alternating.
For my hair, I’ve pretty much kept up the same routine but I’ve absolutely loved Keratase’s Elixir Ultime and Macadamia’s deep repair hair mask. My ends have been really dry (not sure if that’s pregnancy related or not) so these products have been lifesavers.
I apply the Elixir Ultime from the nape of my neck to the ends of my hair before blowdrying. I use about 5-7 pumps and this stuff lasts forever, so don’t hesitate at its steeper price.
As far as the hair mask, I continue to repurchase this product over and over because nothing else compares to it. I’ve tried expensive and inexpensive conditioners and I can truly say this one is the absolute best at leaving hair feeling moisturized and smooth. It also smells incredible.
I haven’t been doing my nails as often during pregnancy. I might paint them every 10-14 days. But I’ve only been using “3 free” formulas that are free of the harmful ingredients some nail polishes contain. Essie, OPI and Butter London are the three brands I’ve been using. My favorite colors have been:
Essie- minimalistic and go ginza
OPI- sweet heart and bubble bath
Butter London- teddy girl

Veronika! Slightly off topic, but I can't find the post where you talk about what your "signature" favorite blush is? I'm in the market for some great blush, so I'd love to purchase some that you recommend. Thanks!

I have three pair of Reva's and wore a pair almost every day during the last 3 months of my pregnancy. Those along with my Nike Comfort Flip Flops and TOMS were staples in my late pregnancy wardrobe.
I loved my GAP long and lean full panel maternity jeans. I wore them ALL of the time. I stopped wearing them when they were literally falling off of me at 1 1/2 weeks postpartum. I loved all of my GAP maternity clothes. They held up so well.

@Donna—it's in my favorites tab at the top of my blog–it's Bobbi Brown "peony" 🙂

We use the Mustela cradle cap shampoo on our 6 month old. It has been awesome and it smells soooooo good. Everyone that holds her throws a fit about how good her head smells 🙂

Glad to hear about the Belli products, I hadn't heard of them before and I will definitely check them out for my next pregnancy. I loved Mustela products too when I was pregnant and after – they have an amazing restorative gel/cream for after you have baby and it worked amazingly well. I love their baby products too and we are still going strong using the entire line on my 16 month old son. So excited for your sweet little girl to be here!

I thought Essie wasn't one of the "free" brands. Am I wrong?

I LOVE the Liz Lange tanks and I'm still wearing them, even though my baby is 6 months old. In fact I think I may even pick up a few more. The length is so perfect to wear with leggings.

I've been wearing my Revas every other day it seems! I stopped wearing heels a while ago too because of swelling. Now that the Florida heat is here and I still have two months of pregnancy to go, I feel maxi dresses are going to be my weekend go to. I agree on the Liz Lange tops! I thought at first that I may not be able to wear them at the office but they are appropriate especially under a cardi. Thanks for sharing your favorites!

I'm a 34H and have this racerback sports bra from Old Navy — https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=84254&vid=1&pid=731901482. It's fairly supportive, enough to feel not saggy, but not look my best, but it's super comfortable.

great list! I have a lot of the same things on my "favorites" list for pregnancy, and for "mommy hood". I love the mustela baby products, love the liz lange tanks (especially since I'm tall too); and reva's are my favorite go-to "mom" show because they are comfortable and easy to throw on and still chase the kids. Great list! http://www.twobytwomom.com

Only about 2 weeks away? Oh man, that's sounds intimidating yet so exciting! And I love these products you put together. I do wish I could have gotten those Gap pants, and hey, I'm the same way. If I like an outfit and it's comfortable then I'll wear it over and over and over. 😛 And I second that about Mustela! Love the scent and the hydration it's been giving my belly, and it's all thanks to you.

Hi Veronika. Do you think the Tory Burch Flats are worth the price?
[email protected] says
@anna—yes, I think they are worth it because I wear them all the time!
Amy says
thanks for your recommendations! I have a pair of the gap pants and I love them, they are the most comfortable dress pants. I also have several pairs of the Tory Burch Reva Flats and also a few of the Eddie flats too (I think they are just as comfy)!

V – did I read right that you use 5-7 pumps of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime? I have been using for a few months and have long hair similar to yours, but have only used about a dime-quarter sized amount each time. (And to be honest have not noticed a difference). Maybe I have not been using enough!

Not much longer! Love reading your pregnancy posts! I recently found out I'm expecting #2! I hardly bought any maternity clothes with my first either. I was wondering what size lululemon tanks you bought? Thanks! Good luck with everything 🙂

I love the Mustela baby products! I think the scent is so light and fresh, I just love it. I know they're a little pricey, but I think they're worth it.
I also loved the Liz Lange Maternity tanks (and also the v-neck tees) while I was pregnant and continue to wear them now even though I gave birth almost 4 months ago. I still wear my Old Navy maternity tanks too!

@maureen-
Congrats on baby number 2! My cool racerbacks are all size 6

Hey V great picks, bookmarking all of them! Do you like the Kerastase Elixir Ultime better than the Cristalliste Lumiere Liquid? Trying to decide which one to order while they're having their 20% off private sale!
