This was my OOTD from last Tuesday. These candids were taken at a work event which is why my expression looks kind of…blank.

You can also kind of see how I wear my hair on the daily. Down, blown-out and the front part pinned away from my face a bit (my hair will not stay away from my face if I don’t do this, it is incredibly annoying). Also, please note that the camera added about 20 lbs here. I actually think the skirt looks better and more slimming in person than it photographs.

Really cute skirt! I'm loving all things purple lately–nail polish, eye shadows, accessories, all of it. I think you look great, but if the camera added 20 lbs, I'd have to say you're way too thin.

thanks anon 🙂 my hair color is what I like to call "bronde" not blonde, not super brown…kind of somewhere in between…It looks more brown in person, I think the pics make it look just a tad lighter than it is.
I think you should def. post a blog on your hair color and the products you use to treat it 🙂

anon- I get the color done professionally, but my colorist writes guest blogs for me so I am sure he could provide some insight into the colors he uses.

stephie- the skirt is SO fab! I actually feel it makes me look pretty small in person, I guess the pics don't show that! It is such a pretty skirt for such a low price. Which location did you find it at? I got the very last one in the store @ Memorial City!

anon- I just had it trimmed like a month ago! We were up In galveston and it was really foggy and humid that day so maybe my hair got a little weird? I definitely don't want to cut it as I'm still gowing it longer!
Your skirt is so cute! I haven't stepped in a Forever 21 in ages… do you find a lot of nice stuff there?
Katie- you have to spend the time and look for things…and also spend a lot of time trying things on. I NEVER buy anything from Forever21 without trying it on because the sizing and fits are inconsistent. But yes, you can find a lot of great stuff there for way less than you'd pay somewhere else.
That's my issue- I don't have the patience to sort through everything while shopping! I wish that I did, but I get pretty frustrated if the store layout is overwhelming. I tend to stick to Banana, Ann Taylor Loft and The Limited… it gets pretty expensive! Next time I'm shopping I'll take a look- thanks for the heads up!
Katie- I think you really have to love shopping to sort through stuff at Forever21. It depends on the store…some stores are super clean and organized, others are a mess.

IMO I have to agree with the post that thinks your hair looks bottom heavy. Maybe it's the way it's styled, but it just looks too much. You have a really pretty face and I think your hair hides that. The color is gorgeous though.
