It’s amazing how a spray tan and a great blow-out can make you feel awesome. I know I was whining yesterday about feeling “blah” but today is a different story. I felt fab today!
I think the spray tan turned out great. I like the Versa Spa system. Though I got mine through Groupon, the regular price is about $40-$45 per session, which I think is quite high and for that price I’d rather get sprayed by an actual person. Some people are shy or don’t feel comfortable getting spray tanned by an actual person, so the Versa Spa might be a good option for those people.
I think Versa Spa gives good color and overall is an easy process. I have done sessions both with and without the bronzer, and I prefer the solution with the bronzer in it because it allows you to see if you “missed” any spots (but watch out, it gets all over clothes and sheets- it washes out, but be aware.)
I think one of the reasons I felt so great today is because I had a glow from the tan, so I definitely recommend Versa Spa for anyone looking for a good spray tan. However, if you can find a technician who will do it for the same price, I’d go with having a human apply it over a machine. It ensures the tan is even, ever spot is covered and they can even darken/shade certain areas to make you look more toned.
Now onto my OOTD. This giraffe print dress from LOFT is making its second appearance on my blog, but styled differently this time around. I love this dress because every time I wear it I get a lot of compliments on it! It’s always nice when people take the time to send good vibes your way (which I always make sure to do on the daily to show people I genuinely notice and care to say something nice.)

How do you feel about lip color? I've noticed that you never seem to be wearing any in any of your pictures (or if you are, it's always a very pale shade). Don't get me wrong, I think that you're gorgeous regardless (and I'm jealous) but I think that slicking on a rosy color on your lips (doesn't even have to be sticky lipgloss or harsh lipstick, even a simple tinted chapstick can work wonders. I personally love Nivea's A Kiss of Flavor in Passion Fruit – it's a tinted balm that isn't too harsh or too shiny or too dull) would look fantastic and would brighten up your face a ton.
anon- in the morning before I go to work, I don't put lip color on because I always drink 2 cups of tea first thing in the morning.
If I have meetings I will put some soft pink lipstick or gloss on, and if I don't I usually just put clear lip conditioner on. I'm not big on lip color, I tend to focus on my eyes more…but thanks for the tip 🙂 I could make more effort with my lips for sure. I just like a softer look!

My hair pisses me off. No matter what I do, there's no volume. I think I need to switch to a different shampoo and conditioner.

V- In response to you "tan" question- I actually DID spray tan for the first time a few days ago! usually I use the tanning bed about 2-3 times a week, but reading your blog, it makes me feel bad and I know I shouldn't, so I've been cutting back. I know, I know. I NEED to quit…so I tried spray tan! I do like it!!! 🙂

Wow, you hair looks so fabulous! I need to get motivated to do more with mine.. it just lays so flat that is it NOT flattering. Did you tan turn out very streaky or was it applied pretty well? I would love to do the spray tan thing, but I just get freaked out that is it going to look streaky. Also, does you hair stay that volumized all day?

niomi- i do use the roundbrush but what gives the ends that "flip" look is the velcro rollers. Since you roll your hair into them, they help create that shape at the ends 🙂
