This week went by so fast—I can’t believe tomorrow is Thursday! Eeepp! Lots to get done before then.
I had a work function tonight so I’m blogging super late in the evening but thought I’d do a quick outfit of the day post. I wore my new LOFT lace skirt today (got it 40% off during my Black Friday shopping.)
As you can see, I need to get a new tripod before I start taking pics with my remote control—I’m still using the mirror, but with the new camera, I think the pics are a bit more clear. I will try to get on that this weekend!
I loved how you could really see the extra highlights my stylist added in this pic!
I think they are more visible when I curl my hair.

Gah, I love the volume in the back of your hair…is that the result of the Redkin Guts product that you rave about? It's on my list as the next product I want to try – I'm using a Kenra Platinum spray foam now and it's just "eh".
carolina—this is third day hair, believe it or not! I used the redken guts 10 in my hair on Monday when I wash and dried it—and then Tuesday and Wednesday I just curled it with a curling iron—and I did a pretty sweaty workout Tuesday night and somehow the curls bounced right back into place this morning with a little curling iron touch-up session 🙂
This is really third day hair? It looks awesome! Regardless of what day hair it is, your curls look great!
lindsay—yep! I will say I DO have babypowder on the roots. I could honestly go another day without washing it at this point—curled hair tends to last longer without washing…not sure why?
I wash my hair Monday morning and Thursday morning each week 🙂

What size curling iron did you use?
I love the curls, but I can never get them to stay more than two hours in my thing straight hair.
Any product suggestions?

@LeAnn—I think it's a 1 1/2 or a 1 1/4 inch curling iron by the brand "Hot Tools" it sells for about $40 and I love it.
I use Elnett hairspray after curling to make curls stay—I do like when they get looser as the day goes on though, it's more of an "undone" look.
For products I also like Redken Guts 10 volume foam—it helps keep hair volumized at the roots 🙂
Hi Veronika – I'm a new reader. I saw that you are going to Paris and London for Christmas. My husband and I are also going to London for Christmas and I'd love to see what you are planning on packing to take with you.
