Did y’all ever think it would happen? Outfit photos! With a tripod! and a remote! My lovely husband purchased a tripod for me for Christmas and I started using it this week.
Two years into blogging and I’m finally getting “advanced.” For those wondering, I am using my Canon Rebel T2i on a 7ft tripod using a
Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote.Things I learned:
- You have to actually clean before taking photos so your Christmas presents and husband’s running shoes aren’t in the photo.
- If you don’t have natural sunlight streaming in at 8 o’clock in the morning, you’ll be spending a good 30 minutes lightening your photos.
Here is today’s outfit. I’m pairing my new LOFT striped shirt with my beloved J.Crew No.2 Pencil Skirt.
Top- LOFT (Petite Stripe Boatneck Tee)
Skirt- J. Crew
Belt- J.Crew (NLA)
Necklace (reginapierallini.com)
Shoes- Kate Spade
Tights- Walmart
Bag- Tory Burch Reva clutch

You look so tall in these photos! Isn't it funny how the angle changes your perspective ๐
Yay! OOTD is back:) Loving the tri pod! Between video + Tri Pod, i'd say your blog has come quite a long way in 2011!
Those polka dotted tights are from walmart?? Do they have a brand? I need them!!
Veronika- you can set your camera on a timer so that when you hit your remote, you have 3 seconds to hide it or put it down before it actually takes the picture. I actually just got a tripod and camera last week so I've been playing around with it ๐
so cute I love you outfit!
you look so tall! if you don't mind me asking, what size do you get in the pencil skirt? I usually wear the same sizes as you and was wondering what size to order
@anon—I am 5'10 so yes, very tall! The skirt is a size 2.
@jalia—they are the walmart brand…forget the name but they come in one of those flat box type packages where they are inside of the box (not like most tights that just come with a band of cardboard around them).
@sarah s—I was shocked how tall I looked in the photos—I mean, I AM tall, but I am so used to mirror pics where I look shorter
Yes, you definitely look taller in these photos (not a bad thing at all!)
Love the stripes with the pencil skirt. The colors mix really well together. I'm also loving tights now that I can finally wear them. I think it makes an outfit so sophisticated.
Yay for OOTD! I always need inspiration!
Cute!
Love this outfit! Especially the tights!
Your tripod photos look great. It takes so trial and error to find th right light, but I'm sure you will.
I would get 2 PocketWizard Plus II's
Set up a 42" umbrella with a speedlight
And viola…don't have to lighten your pictures in photoshop : )
ooh i love that you added the belt! so cute!
love from San Francisco,
Britt+Whit
I love this outfit Veronika – the swiss dot tights are my fave!
loving the skirt! that color is sooo fresh!
Love the outfit! I want the Jcrew no. 2 pencil skirt in red! Love the Tory Burch bag I have been lusting over it!
Love your OOTD, they are my fave of your posts! You look so much taller (mean that in a good way) with the tripod photos.
I love how you look so young, fresh, and fun while still looking completely professional and put together. Such an inspiration!
Fabulous outfit! Just found your blog today. I'm a blogger in Houston too. ๐
I wanted to share this post about investing in your appearance. Just read it and it reminded me of your previous post about this.
