Did you ever think I would wear other shoes? I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that my Kate Spades need a little TLC over at the shoe doctor (they have tiny little rips on the sides, shockingly, since I complained about the same issue with my Jessica Simpson heels). I got the Kate Spade pumps for about $40 at the outlet, so I think it’s worth spending a little to have them repaired.
It was super gloomy this morning (as you can tell in my photos) and I wasn’t feeling like getting into my brights, so I opted for black with texture—a cropped lace top with a fun punch of leopard. Because this top is cropped, I always wear it untucked because tucking it on on my miles-long torso is mission impossible.
I think wearing it untucked is kind of fun when it’s belted. What do you think?
Shoes- Ivanka Trump (buy them here in a gorgeous black/cream combo!)
Veronika.
$40! The KS pump is a timeless shoe. Are you ever self conscious about wearing a higher heel? I tend to limit myself to 3 inches, which also limits my choices, but I already am taller than most of the men in my office.
Great outfit. You look very classic and chic!
How funny. I wore an outfit similar to yours today too. Ha. I even wore my Ivanka Trump pumps.

Of course my outfit doesn't look nearly as cute as yours! The belted, untucked top kind of looks like it's supposed to be a peplum one piece dress.
I love those pumps! They are pretty similar to the Zara pumps that so many fashion bloggers have. I also agree that the top looks like a cute peplum dress. Very pretty, and I like tops untucked sometimes! It makes things look less stuffy.
cute! black with leopard is so classic!
You look great! Sometimes wish I could get more dressed up on a daily basis, but being a SAHM doesn't really need a lot of dressy clothes 🙂
Gah. Your pictures are always so blurry!
I had a really hard time today because it was too dark outside and overcast. I tried to take them using artifical light, but that just made it worse.
It was gloomy here as well. And I understand your lighting issues-I have the same problem.
Gorgeous!! =D
I love your shoes soo much <3

I really like the untucked look! Nice to switched it up every so often

Love the outfit, hate the shoes. Sorry, but they just look cheap. Maybe they look better without the tights, but seriously not a fan
FYI – Kate Spade outlet is a different line than Kate Spade retail. They are made by the same company, but are different quality. Some stuff at outlet is remnants from the previous season, but most stuff is an outlet made only item which replicates the retail style. There is a mark on the item number on the label to tell if you have an outlet only item or a remnant item. Coach does the same thing. I only post this so someone buying Kate Spade from a retail store might not worry about their shoes not holding up! I love outlet too, but I do know that it is different quality.
I did not know this because I see a lot of stuff from the store go to the outlet…hmmm…interesting! thank you 🙂
BTW my shoes are the classic black pumps which I believe are sold in retail stores but I'm not sure. They were originally marked at like $260 but I only got them that cheap because they were half price and another 70% off or so.
Very cute outfit. I agree, untucked works way better on a longer torso. I think this would be even cuter without the tights. (Unless that's a work requirement)

Yes, they mark the label with 'sells as' price, but in truth it is an outlet made replicate. Both Coach and Kate Spade outlet do this. I have a few trendy items from both Coach and KS outlet that match the current or previous season line, but are definitely made for outlet – small differences. Classic pieces I buy retail, but for something more trendy, I do buy outlet (like a pink coach wallet, that I suspect I'll want to switch out in a year). If you ask the associates at the outlet, they might not tell you, but if you bring an outlet item to the retail store, they'll show you where to look on the label.
thank you 🙂
Cute outfit but agree, the shoes look kind of cheap for some reason. Love the belt though!
They do the same thing with J.Crew/J. Crew Outlet 🙁
Clothing companies like Banana Republic, J Crew and Ann Taylor do the same thing, they make lower quality items to sell in the outlet at a lower price. You can really tell the difference in quality between an item from a regular store and an item made to be sold at the outlet store. I hate to tell you this, but your KS shoes are probably outlet quality shoes. There is no reason for KS to sell classic black pumps for $40 when they can sell the same pair at the regular store year-round and season after season for $290.
Here's an article on outlet shopping VS. retail shopping that confirms that Kate Spade and other brands (Coach etc.) often sell "made for outlet" cheaper quality goods:

I really like your shoes. I think they look classy and great with your outfit. You always look so chic!
Very professional look.
I totally think it's worth it to spend $$ on shoe repairs. I have a pair of Reiss flats that I adore and that are the most comfortable thing ever, and I take them to the shoe guy every year. I spend about $40 to get the cleaned, resoled, all the works, but it's worth it because I have never been able to find another pair like that.
I like the shirt untucked and belted, I think it gives you a nice shape and I LOVE those pumps!
Hi Veronika- I am a big fan of your blog and I love all the cute outfits you wear. I love the top and skirt but I'm not a fan of the shoes – sorry not sure if it's because of the tights?
love the different shoes! hope you get your Kate Spades back in perfect condition soon!
Hi Veronika – I'm a big fan of your blog. I enjoy the outfits you put together and your choice of styles. Seems like you're catching a bit of a hard time from some of the readers but I think your personal style is refreshing. Keep dressing for YOU! P.S. The shoes are great. Outlet or not 😉
Have you considered that the rips in the sides are occurring do to overuse, regardless of the brand? Wearing the same shoes day in and day out is hard on your feet as well as the shoes.
Oh, I love these shoes! They are absolutely perfect.
Love these shoes! Looks fabulous with the all-black outfit!
