A couple of weeks ago, I showed a tunic I bought at Zara and I mentioned in my video that I had planned to also try it out as a blouse.
Here’s how it turned out—someone mentioned I could also try wearing it backwards which is what I’m going to try the next time I wear it! Fortunately, though it has a keyhole top, it does not show any cleavage (which you want to 100% avoid in an office setting).
Tunic (worn as top)- Zara
Tights- Target
Shoes- Kate Spade
Skirt- J.Crew

And yes, I am SO sick of those shoes. I mean I love them, but I wear them all.the.time. I think it’s because other shoes I have feel weird with tights. Since I live in a warm climate, I have a lot of open toe heels and heels that have straps at the back/are backless and it feels odd to wear tights with them. So yeah, lots of new shoes are on the to-do list.
What kind of shoes do you like to wear with tights?
xoxo,
Veronika.

Have you ever tried wedges? Not the open toe ones. That actually works with tights/stockings.

That top would look great turned around, I like the print but I'm not a fan of key hole necklines. I know what you mean about finding the right shoes to wear with tights; a lot of the time I find that I need a half size smaller so my feet don't slip out.

I will have to try them 🙂 thanks Alethia—I love wedges but I have never owned closed-toe ones.

You look so cute! Did the tunic bunch at all? I've never tried a tunic as a top, but this inspire me. I hear you about the shoes. I have a regular black leather and a black suede pair of pumps that I wear to death. I am so sick of the black tights and shoes combo. Bring on the spring weather already! Sorry, don't have much to suggest other than maybe brown shoes with brown tights (although not a look I love to wear all the time).

thanks 🙂 I just pull the tunic down as far as it will go and then roll my skirt down over it so it doesn't bunch 🙂

Except for ankle boots, or any other type of boots, I don't see anything with tights…

Suede booties and pumps look great with tights, even better than patent shoes.

great suggestion 🙂 I'll have to get some next season!

If you're tired of those shoes, I'll take them! Is it too warm for boots and/ or booties? I have gotten to the point where I'd rather wear boots than pumps with my skirts and dresses! I also occasionally will do ballet flats.

Love the tunic that way! You'd never guess it's a tunic:)
I was also going to suggest suede booties! I think peep toe booties can work too, as long as the tights are opaque enough!

Cute outft! I also think this top would look stunning with your navy lace pencil skirt- I think it's from ZARA?

I love that keyhole! Super cute and unique. I agree with everyone else, suede I think would be a good investment…although, personally my favorite is patent!

Love the outfit! Is there a technique you use so the flowy tops don't show/bunch under the skirt? I always have that problem and never wear loose tops tucked in for that reason. Thanks! 🙂

Beautiful outfit! I like your shoes, but I know what you mean about being bored…I do think that sometimes office & work outfits can turn into a sort of uniform, or at least they always did for me…especially in an environment where wearing black is mandatory. But you always keep things interesting, no matter what! 🙂 <3 xo

That is a very beautiful top. You should also try pairing it with a lighter pencil skirt or a more flowing bottom for a Spring look. Maybe a nice white or beige. : )

You can't beat a good pair of go -to shoes, so don't worry about it!! Wear those Kate Spades with pride! I love open toed chunky heels with tights as long as the seem in the toe isn't too obvious- but it can look cool with the right color/shoe combo!

I love your tunic! I've tried to wear them tucked before, but always end up with a bunchy/lumpy mess. How do you avoid this?

Since it's been freezing here I have begun to wear nylons with pretty much all my shoes. Even open toe! I don't really care, but I also don't work where I need to impress anyone. haha.
Clearly my solution? Go shoe shopping!!! And then show us what you buy!
