I don’t know what got into me this morning. Maybe it’s the fact that I saw a personal trainer at my new gym on Sunday and realized that I am not as in shape as I thought I was (and can barely walk today)….and maybe it’s that I need to curb my sugar addiction… or maybe it’s because it was gloomy out…but I decided to wear all black. GASP! It’s like I’m taking this blog back to 2009.
It’s nice to switch it up sometimes though and I can never quite get enough of a great polka-dot top.

Top- Club Monaco (old, another option; and another)
Skirt- J.Crew (buy it here)
Necklace- Forever 21 (old, similar; another option)
Shoes- Zara

I love polka dots too and I do wear black on black quite a bit even in the summer. Just pair up with some nice accessories is good to go.
You've been wearing a lot of color lately so it's ok to wear black once in a while. Plus it looks so classy.
The bag adds a nice pop of color 😉
….and a POP of purple! That bag adds the perfect amount of color to a "black om black" outfit! 😉

Love it! I do think everyone looks amazing in color, but black is always classic!
I love your lavendar bag….so cute!
I had a black on black kinda day today too! I think the shoes and accessories totally make the outfit- and your purple pop did just that! Beautiful as always!
I think you use color in your wardrobe really well – but I just love dressing in all black, especially for the office. Don't feel bad or off-trend about wearing all black. It's classic. Think how many images of Audrey Hepburn are of her in all black.
I think an all black day is classic. You look great!
Your lavender bag gives you the perfect pop of colour in this outfit. Love your style.

I actually try avoiding blacks during the day in summer, particularly if it's quite sunny, but I can imagine that if you're in the office all day anyway, it won't make a great difference… I love your necklace with this outfit!
Black on black will always be a classic so there's no harm in going (back) there. I love your polka dot top and that necklace is so pretty too.
Its actually nice to see a little black on black. I love that skirt!
I DO wear black in the summertime but I always feel a little funny in doing so… gloomy days tend to be good for this or fat days 😛
I love your outfit. No matter what the trends are at any given time, having an all black outfit or dress is a classic wardrobe staple. There's nothing wrong with wearing all black. I love the high-low polka dot shirt you posted. You almost need shirts to be longer in back so they don't untuck during the day.
Sometimes, all black is a refreshing change to all the summer color! Love how you still have that pop of color though from the bag, ha 🙂
I see purple and white in there… clearly not all black! 🙂 This outfit is super cute. I am loving my black skinny jeans with my chambray shirt with a bright necklace. I think if you get one bright thing in there then no one will even notice!
Omg those shoes are sooo cute! I love them 🙂 And you look really chic in all black too! Plus I see a pop of colour with your bag so it's all good 😉 <3
You look so great in that outfit!
The Polka Dots totally cheer up the blackness. Think it´s appropriate for summertime, too.
And V by the way, don´t get confused by the personal trainers, I think you´re in an amazing shape und look very pretty and feminine! <3
Kind of a girl crush thing here ;o)
You have such classic style. And yes, I would totally wear black in the summer!
There is nothing wrong in wearing some black once in a while =D I really like how you managed to make a totally black outfit not boring at all!!!

Super cute! I wear black in the summer I have a couple of sleevless LBDs that are a bit too thin for our cold winters.
