The moment September hits, I suddenly crave having my entire house smell like cinnamon-pumpkin-fall leaves awesomeness. There is nothing better than filling your home with an aroma that reminds you of fall. Since I’ve moved to Houston, fall is a season this city seems to sort of skip over, and it’s made me even more into filling my home with scents that remind of the way the leaves changed color and the air got more brisk as fall came into full force in Toronto, where I lived most of my life.
The latest introduction into my fall scent collection is a Scentsy warmer. One of my lovely readers Beth sells the products and sent me one to test out in our home. I picked a pretty Morrocan style and I’ve been using the “Welcome Home” scent in it which is sweet and cinnamony and just lovely. I still like to light candles, of course, but this is a nice alternative and I like that the scent bars last a super long time.
My favorite candles for fall are from Bath and Body Works, with the Leaves scent winning the prize for best.scent.ever. I usually buy a few more than I need because every year I worry they will “sell out” (they don’t). My other favorite fall (and holiday scents) are: Fresh Balsam, Tis the Season, Evergreen, Cranberry Woods, Autumn, Cinnamon Sugared Donut and Frosted Cranberry. You can view all of the scents available here.
Of all the seasons, fall and winter have the absolute best scents, in my humble opinion. The scents are warm and inviting and some of them make me feel like we have a real Christmas tree in the house (confession: I’ve never had a real Christmas tree, it’s always been faux).

I love the concept of Scentsy especially now that I have a little one running around the house. Even trying to put things up high won't always guarantee that he won't get into things. So open flames aren't ideal. I just wish some of their scents weren't so overwhelming. I can get a migraine real quick if a scent is too strong.
I totally understand your love for Bath and Body Works scents. My mother-in-law drove to another town because they were discontinuing her scent. She's done the same for other Bath and Body products too.
From scentsy I love the apple pie scent. It's smells like cinnamon and apple. Smells like fall to me whenever I smell it. I just bought some new scents for the fall so we shall see if they can top the apple pie one.
I love scentsy! There is a bar that smells like baking cinnamon rolls. Makes my office smell amazing.
My fave is "Home-made Cookies" from Bath and Body Works. The scent gets a lot of compliments. It comes out around Christmas time so I usually stock up, just in case. Another fave – Cranberry scents. Love! ๐
I'm with you on the cinnamon spice scents. I love those for my living room, kitchen, etc. and more vanilla scents for my bedroom and bathrooms. I love Leaves, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, Bakes Apple Pie (not from BBW) and Frosted Cranberry. I also love Frosted Cupcake for my bedroom.
My mom always made Hot Apple Cider in the fall so I love that scent and the smell of pumpkin bread baking. Fall is the best!
I'm usually a Yankee candle fan, but I just purchased my first Leaves candle, and now I am hooked! It really is the perfect fall scent!
Bath and Body works have the best scents!! I am a huge fan of Leaves and Autumn. I think I may need to try the other scents you listed. Thanks for the tips!

I couldn't agree more! Southern California is basically seasonless, so I love nothing more then creating seasons for myself! Candles are the easiest way to go. I still have yet to completely finish my Summer candles, but when I do, I am definitely going to B&B works and buying the candles you suggested ๐
Thanks for the review, Veronika! I love Scentsy and I'm glad you do too!!
i went through a major jarred-candle obsession a few years ago with scents like honey maple & baked french toast! they came from this candle store in ontario though and i haven't been able to find anything i like quite as much here in bc. thanks for the recommendations!

Where do I begin? I used to be a Yankee Candle fan, but the last haul of ones I bought barely scented my place- older candles from them DID. Anyway some of my ALL-TIME favorite fall scents:
1. Candles By Victoria (CBV): Autumn Leaves
2. CBV: Simply Delicious
3. Bath and Body Works: Leaves (just like you!)
4. B&BW: Toffee Crunch
5. B&BW: Frosted Cupcake and Frosted Cranberry
I really could go on and on. And let's not EVEN talk about Wintery, Christmasy scents. My candle hoard collection is WAY to big. I need to get to burning!
Love me some fall scents! I have one in my classroom and my students love it!
ooh i bet these are wonderful!
I love the scents of cinnamon, pumpkin, and vanilla for fall. I know vanilla can be kind of bland, but it smells great when there is a fire blazing in our woodstove.

If you love fall scents, you should check out the Pumpkin Marshmallow from Scentsy. I have it warming right now and it's one of my faves!
I love pumpkin pie and cinnamon for fall and peppermint for winter! Bath and Body Works has a peppermint hand soap that I'm obsessed with. It smells like candy canes which are my favorite holiday candy

Don't you just love the clothing sales and deals you get here as compared to Canada !
The Winter Cabin candle from Bath and Body Works is amazing! It's a warm scent and is a bit masculine. You need to try it!

I am hooked on Sage and Citrus from Yankee Candle. I can actually burn these year round, and the color of the candle is a gorgeous shade of sage green which goes perfectly with my home decor.
Have a wonderful weekend!

This is the first year I've really gotten into scented things.. I bought an oil/tart warmer, too! I've actually depotted several of the mini B&BW candles and cut them up, and use the slices as tarts to melt. I am *loving* French Baguette, Fireside (seriously, smells like a bonfire without the smoke!), and Thanksgiving smells like mashed potatoes! And Walmart brand wax cubes (Better Homes & Gardens, I think) has some really great scents – I'm loving Mountain Cabin Escape and Gooey Marshmallow S'mores.
