Today H and I went to the mall for a quick trip to pick up some makeup items I had run out of.
Nowadays, when I go to the mall, I hardly ever go to any stores I used to frequent. I just skip right past them and go to Baby GAP to see what’s new (and there is SO MUCH cute stuff there right now).
Though we only went to the mall to purchase the makeup items I needed, I decided visit Zara for the first time in months and was pleasantly surprised with what was in store. Their fall/winter collection was kind of blah for me and I didn’t buy anything there for a long time, but the spring items that are coming out are pretty and there are a lot of great pairs of shoes too. One jacket I loved was this one:
I feel like my bump is starting to look a little higher too. I’m still carrying pretty low, but it appears to have moved up some. Maybe baby girl is changing positions.

Totally stopped shopping for myself when I was pregnant and haven't really started back up again yet and baby girl is 5 months old. She doesn't last very long at the mall so it' s usually just stuff for her right now!

You look stunning! Question: my nursery furniture will arrive next Saturday too from RH! So excited….did the dresser have a strong smell ? I suppose we will need to air it out as well then, but I was looking forward to putting clothes away…
Also are the chandeliers at rh baby sparkly? Lucky you live by one!

@sandra— the dresser drawers do smell like paint-ish so I have been airing them out. I would air them out before putting clothes in them (ours have some clothes in them but none have been washed yet—I wouldn't put washed clothes in it just yet).
The chandeliers I have seen in person at RH are very sparkly. I ordered one from Overstock.com and one from RH Baby and Child to see which one looks better in the room 🙂

I love all the makeup recommendations! I hadn't heard of the eyeliner before, and may have to give it a go..is it hard to remove?
And the pink in the room is perfect! It reminds me of the after-sleep flush of rosy perfection my baby girl has when she wakes up and yours will soon have!
Your bump is adorable!

@abby—I use eye makeup remover to remove my eye makeup because I use waterproof liner and mascara so it comes off easily for me 🙂 plus, on the waterline eyeliner tends to come off easier anyway. You can also use it on your lash line but the black one I only use on my waterline.

I love your outfit! I've been trying to find a sweater like this. I need to hit up Forever 21!

Love the pink and gray shades you chose. Clean + soft = perfection.

I'm 29 weeks pregnant and barely shop for myself anymore! I love all the little boy clothes, but I bet it would be even worse if I was having a girl.

Yes the bump is higher. 😉 You look so cute. Almost makes me miss my belly but Lord knows I don't want anymore kids now lol. I felt my best being pregnant. I loved my body, my skin and hair were awesome. Enjoy it! Such an exciting time. 🙂

Hey Veronika! You are looking amazing! Do you happen to know the name of the gray you used in your guest room? That's the gray I've been searching for!! Thanks!

Bobbi Brown's peony blush is the best! I rotate that with Nars orgasm (when I need more coral) and Laura Mercier's lotus pink (when I want something more sheer) and have had to purchase more several times and I use them less often. I haven't had to re-buy my peony for two years as well! LOVE that!

I think your belly did grow! You're still so tiny and cute though. One of the funniest things in the world to me is baby clothes hanging in a closet! So funny. Thanks for sharing – sounds like a great weekend 🙂

the gray in the guest room is Behr's fashion gray- I have a blog post that goes over every paint color in every room of our home 🙂

I had a similar growth spurt around the same time. You look great- all belly 🙂
And yep, I stopped by maternity clothes at around 28-30ish weeks. I even just bought my shower dress in non maternity because I want to wear it again after. I didn't but too much to begin with, but I hear ya on how hard it is to shop for yourself. With all of these new spring/summer styles coming out it is so hard! Can't wait to see her nursery when it is done!

I love seeing the nursery progress! My due date is one week after yours so I need to start working on our nursery checklist as well. Did you use the Ben Moore Natura paint or BM Ultra Spec as your zero VOC option? Are you happy with the results of it? I was planning to use the Natura grade paint in our nursery, but ran into some reviews regarding a horrible odor from the paint and a class action lawsuit. That has been a few years so hopefully they worked out any issue, but now I'm hesitant on what to choose.
[email protected] says
@sheryl— we used the BM no VOC paint but it was the cheaper one—contractor grade (it was like $20 cheaper than the Natura) we are happy with the results

if you love the urban decay liner try nyx slide-on glide-on pencils- they're almost identical and nyx is 1/4 of the price 🙂

I was at the mall yesterday with the husband and we walked by Baby GAP and I was pointing at the cute displays for boys and I was really happy and he told me how excited I was. I've been wanting to have our own baby for quite a while now but we're still saving up and we're not ready. I just like looking at baby photos, playing with babies and basically anything baby related makes me happy and excited. Excited to see yours soon! 🙂
You used up your blush in 2 years? I have my everyday MAC blush (dame) since 2008 and I haven't hit pan on it! Hahaha. I'm not sure if its the brush I'm using but its still has a lot in it! I used to use brushes with natural/animal hair but when I switched to synthetic ones, I find that it picks up lesser product but still applies it on well. Just felt like sharing. It could only be me, but who knows. Lol.
