My mom is visiting from Toronto right now and she met Harper for the first time last Saturday. It’s so nice having my mom around to help with the baby and to have company during the week while Kevin is at work.
My mom has also been cooking some of my favorite meals for me which has been awesome. She even swiffered my floors today and helped me organize Harper’s closet. It’s been really nice spending time with my own mom now that I’m a mom too.

Most days I’m wearing tees and PJ or yoga pants, but my mom and I left the house a couple of times so I actually wore “real clothes.” Both pairs of shorts are from J.Crew.

How fun! It's great that your mom can be there to support you. Time and time again I hear from new moms how helpful it is to have their mom there during the first couple weeks

I loved nothing more than seeing my mom become a grandma. Even though we were close before – it has brought us even closer together.

I agree with Andee. My mom and I were always very close but I understand her so much more since becoming a mom myself last August. It's amazing to have mom around especially the early days. My mom in town and she was over everyday for the first two weeks, cleaning, cooking me traditional persian food, help me bathe Sofia and watching her while I napped.
Parents are such blessing truly.

Your mother and you look great! Harper looks so happy and cute. When my MIL was here, she made chicken soup also. We also have the Puj tub and we love it!

My mom was always a lifesaver with each of my boys. She would send me to take a nap and I'd wake up to a spotless house… always appreciated more than words can express.

I can totally relate to the joy and encouragement you're experiencing as someone is helping you out with Harper! Your mom seems to be doing an amazing job with you girls and I'm sure that having her around makes your soul feel "full". 😀 I think it's important to have that support esp. after birth because of our hormonal and emotional shifts. And that woombie item is sooo cool! I need one of those because I'm terrible at swaddling–it's not as easy as it looks!
