What a great weekend we enjoyed these past two days! Harper’s daycare had a fall festival and it was so fun to see all of the other kids and babies enjoying the activities. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, jumpy castle, parks, live music and lots and lots (and lots) of food. The theme was “around the world” and families brought desserts from different countries. I was a total mommy fail and just bought some mini cinnamon buns at Kroger. They were delicious, bite-sized and, let’s face it, I didn’t want to bake.
Here are a few snaps from our adventures. Harper looks kind of glum in these photos because I think she didn’t really know what to do with herself with all of the people, things and animals everywhere, but I promise we got some smiles and she didn’t cry while we were there, so that’s always a plus!
Starting with Harper’s outfit…

What a fun weekend! I have said that each month- that it was my favorite but it really does keep getting better:)
I pump in the car all the time now, well while my husband is driving anyway. I had to do it once on a road trip and now I just do it whenever I need to. I'm able to put the pump parts under my shirt while keeping the pump/bag on my lap so you can't see anything. We're on the go a lot so it really helps now that I am almost totally exclusively pumping.

I don't think taking a selfie of yourself to see how you look in something is weird at all! I do it all the time, especially if there isn't a mirror nearby. And when I'm shopping with someone else, I have them take a picture of me. I think looking at a picture of yourself in the accessory or clothing you're trying on can be a better indicator of what you actually look like in it instead of looking in those (sometimes) awful dressing-room mirrors.
P.S. Harper is getting so big! She is so adorable 🙂

Harper is adorable! Her hair is really looking red now, I have a red headed baby too (she's 2 1/2 now). Her hair got curly when she was over a year old.

I meant to ask you, have you done any research on the red hair gene? When people ask you "where did she get that red hair?" don't just say it came from your husband, it has to come from you too! My husband and I both have brown hair and I had no idea I could have a red headed child!

I actually researched it when I was still pregnant because I was hoping she would have strawberry blonde hair like my H and his sister had growing up. So Harper had a 25% chance of having red hair if we both carried the recessive gene for red hair. My H obviously did but I didn't know if I did—well now, I know I have it for sure 🙂
