I think many women can confess that they own way too many black dresses. It makes sense- there are a ton of different styles and fabrics, the color is flattering and seasonless and black can work for many occasions (see what I did there with the justifications)?
I purchased this dress from Banana Republic very early during my first pregnancy so that it could grow with me as time went on— and this dress has definitely been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. It’s not a maternity dress, but the ruching makes it ideal for a growing bump. I’ve worn it both during and after pregnancy and since the fabric is high-quality and didn’t get stretched-out from wear.
Today I paired it with my new Kendra Scott rayne necklace in turquoise and tan Vince Camuto sandals. I just love this color combo!
(I’ll be 23 weeks tomorrow!)
My second outfit is another one I have on repeat when I’m expecting- ponte maternity pants with heels and a long dress shirt. This is one of my most simple outfits and I’ll usually wear this on a day where I plan to have a lot of desk time so I’m extra comfortable.
…and before I go, I just have to leave this video with you all…if you’ve ever worn maternity pants, you will laugh and understand my love for it:
It was created by Elle, one of the women behind one of my fave YouTube channels, WhatsUpMoms. If you haven’t checked them out, you should!
