I hope your weekend was amazing! My mom left to go back to Toronto yesterday afternoon and we spent a rainy Sunday at home.
This upcoming week will be my first week since Lincoln was born where I’ll be alone while Kevin is at work and Harper is at daycare. I was so fortunate to have help from family members on both sides for the past two weeks and heaven help me, I hope I make it through this first week alone relatively unscathed. I’ve been feeling really good and I’m looking forward to getting into more of a routine as this new week begins! I also have optimistic plans to work on organizing some of the rooms in our house a little bit…but the likelihood of that winning over extra sleep is pretty low.
If you follow me on IG, you saw that we had Lincoln’s newborn photos and some family photos captured by the amazing Ailee from Snapshots by Ailee Petrovic. I just love her work and we were so pleased with our photos. I’ll share them in an upcoming post, but here are a few I snapped with my iPhone during our session. These two melt my heart.

Harper is just precious with her baby brother right now. I’m completely aware that it likely won’t last so I’m just soaking up those sweet moments like when she sings to him when he cries and whispers “it’s okay baby Lincoln, it’s okay.” Or when she says “I love you so much baby Lincoln” as she bends down to kiss his feet. It’s just a perfect recipe for ugly cries over here with how sweet she is (but don’t worry, it’s not all sugary over here, she still has tantrums like the best of em’, like the time she had an absolute meltdown because we put her spoon inside of her yogurt before giving it to her. You know, the usual).
I’ve been loving the fall and winter items in stores right now for kids (and by in stores, I mean online, since we all know couch-shopping is as good as it gets for me these days).
GAP is having a NO exclusions 40% off sale right now (USE CODE MAJOR), so it’s a great time to stock up on items from their holiday collection and things like PJ’s which are usually excluded from sales. The discount can also be applied to the Peanuts Collection for Gap, which is awesome! Old Navy is also having a 40% off of 2 items promotion + 30% off of other items (USE CODE SWEET).
I picked up some items from Gap & Old Navy recently for Harper and Lincoln. Below are the items I purchased and the ones in my cart right now!space dye hoodie | pleated skirt sweater dress | heart leggings | cardiganzip-front sleeper | marled pom hat
Old Navy’s zip-front sleepers are amazing and such a great value. I already have them in mint and turquoise for Lincoln so I also picked up some neutral colors in larger sizes. They’re so much easier for middle-of-the-night diaper changes than the snap-button kind.
Here are the items in my GAP shopping cart right now:floral PJ’s | fair isle PJ’s | holiday lights PJ’s | duck boots | marled socks
Happy shopping and I hope your weekend was wonderful!

We just shot the photos in our home since it was comfortable 🙂 Harper’s room had great lighting!

Who says it won’t last?!?! My kids are 6 and 2 and they love each other as much now as when I brought my daughter home from the hospital. Enjoy watching their relationship blossom. That is the best part of giving your children siblings (aka friends for life)!

It makes me feel so happy to hear that! I’m an only child so I’m a little clueless about sibling dynamics. I can’t wait to see what unfolds between these two <3

I love keeping up with your family! I follow you on Snapchat and Harper is just TOO cute when she talks, and congrats on baby Lincoln! He’s adorable! I am due in December with my first baby, a little boy also 🙂 , and had been searching for some all white or just solid footed pjs like the ones you showed from Old Navy. I had no idea they had those! Just a question though since I saw a lot of reviews on them saying that since there’s no tab to cover the zipper, a lot of people were unhappy with how they scratched their little ones. Do you find that this is an issue for you also? They’re online only and I was going to order a few, but wasn’t sure about the little zipper for my newborn. Thank you and congrats again!

Hmm I have not had any issues with this—but he has only worn them a handful of times. I suppose you could always sew one on yourself. Honestly I would try them anyway, and see if they work for your baby. They’re so inexpensive it’s worth it to see!
