If this is your first time reading a Trunk Club post, I’ll give you a little background. Trunk Club for Women is a service where you work with a stylist who sends you clothes, accessories and shoes based on your style needs. The shipping and returns are free, there is no styling fee and you only pay for what you buy. Ultimately, your stylist’s goal is to send you high-quality timeless staples and budget-friendly trendy items to build a thoughtful wardrobe. Once your trunk arrives, you have 10 days to try everything on which is awesome because that gives you a lot of time to see how the items in your trunk work with other pieces in your closet.
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, so you’ll find that the brands of clothing, accessories and shoes available are similar to what you’d see at Nordstrom, one of my favorite places to shop. My stylist is Hannah, so feel free to request her!
The first item in my trunk was this gorgeous white lace dress. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s currently 40% off. I liked the way it fit and the lace was beautiful, but I have a lot of white dresses that I don’t wear a ton so I decided to pass. It’s a great deal though if you need a special occasion dress!
These nude strappy heels were also in my trunk and they’re great for summer and work with a ton of outfits. I especially recommend these if you like to dress up or you go out a lot— they don’t overpower an outfit but they’re dressy enough for a night out.

This olive green embroidered dress had me at hello. I knew I would keep it the moment I saw it. Then I tried it on and yes yes yes. It’s airy and comfortable and off-the-shoulder, which is one of my favorite summer trends. Plus, I think it will transition into fall—you could pair it with a denim jacket and booties!

This watermelon color dress is so fun and bright! I loved the fit overall but the material was so wrinkly (of course that’s to be expected with a crepe material) that it felt a little too high maintenance for a working mom of two…

This white top is beautiful (and currently 40% off)! I originally wasn’t going to keep it because I felt it was a little short at the front, but I realized after seeing the photos that not every top I wear has to be long/tunic length. Though longer tops are more in my comfort zone, I decided to step outside the box and I’m glad I did!
By the way, the heels I’m wearing here are these ones. I asked Hannah to send me some new nude heels because mine were a wreck. I also wanted something non-patent. I was surprised at how much I loved these and I’m keeping them. I usually opt for a classic heel but the chunkier half-moon heel on these was a fun change! And as always, this brand is SO comfortable.

Though they’re incredibly popular, I have never owned an Equipment brand blouse. This striped one was in my trunk and I really liked the fit of it as well as the color/print. Do y’all think I should splurge on it? I am thinking I should opt for a long sleeve one for the fall instead?

This dress (which when I opened it, I thought was a tunic top) was pretty, but very short. It would work great if you’re 5’5 or under. It’s a little bit of a splurge so I might wait until it goes on sale.

I smiled when I saw this seahorse print blouse by Kate Spade in my trunk. It was super cute but it’s one of those pieces that I know I’ll tire of quickly. I think trendy prints like this are so fun to add to your closet but because they’re so memorable, I personally prefer buying inexpensive trendy items and focusing on classic pieces when I’m splurging. seahorse blouse | nude half- moon heels | AG ankle legging jeans
This plaid shirt was something I initially didn’t even want to try on. However, I ended up loving the style, fit and fabric. I wasn’t going to keep it beause I didn’t love the print initially…but now that I’m seeing the photos I kind of like it. Thoughts?

I’m a diehard Lululemon addict, but these Nike leggings were in my trunk and they were super cute. I can’t justify another pair of leggings when I’m not even working out…but these are adorable. The have a little scalloped pattern through the bottom part of the leg in a contrasting light gray. Love these! Nike leggings
I was also sent these Nike sweats- they’re thin and lightweight and I love the color. Can I justify another pair of sweats? Because I really, really want these. Like, a lot. Enable me? Nike sweats
I really wanted white jeans this summer. I don’t own a pair. In fact, I’ve never owned a pair (seriously, where is that emoji of the monkey covering its eyes?) These rag & bone white jeans fit great (especially if you’re tall— they’re super long).
I am still on the fence with these. I guess where I’m at is yes, I want white jeans, but…when will I really wear these? Fall is just around the corner and it’s so sweltering in Houston that I don’t want to wear long pants on weekends (I do wear my AG jeans in this heat, but they’re lighter weight than these). I may take a rain check and get some white jeans next Spring and wear them until it’s regularly in the 90’s and 100’s.

I think you should keep the white jeans! You can totally wear white jeans into fall with cute boots/booties – especially in Texas. Yes to the Nike sweats – No to the Equipment blouse, just not that special for that much $$.
My two cents:)
I’m so glad you are enabling me with the Nike sweats because they are awesome, right? Thanks for your feedback on the blouse too. I’m trying to be more thoughtful about my wardrobe and I think I need to stick with things I really love right off the bat and not items I have to think about so much…maybe that means they’re not “meant to be.” 🙂
I love reading posts like this on your blog, because I’m on the taller side, too! For white jeans – check out Express. I got a great pair that weren’t expensive at all, but they look much more expensive. If you wouldn’t wear them a lot, they’re a great option!
Thank you so much for this recommendation! I will have to check them out 🙂 Have a great day!
Whattttttt?!? You NEED those white jeans! They look amazing on you! Also, once you own a pair you won’t believe you went so long without them. They seriously go with EVERYTHING. I vote keep! (And the sweats while you’re at it, they’re so cute;)
Keep the blouse. You can wear it in the summer alone and in the fall/winter with a blazer! White pants can be worn all year now especially where it doesn’t snow lol
Those sweat pants look so comfy!
Hannah is the best. This last trunk I loved almost everything. With the Nordstrom sale I had to be picky about what I kept from the trunk. Budgeting is for the birds!
It would be madness to not keep those white jeans! And what is this I hear about no white jeans in Autumn? I say put those silly old rules away and embrace crisp white year around!
That’s a no for the blouse, it ages you! Think maybe it is the short sleeves? Didn’t really love the country and western top either. …
And a big yes for the track pants!
Thanks Esther 🙂 Love your honest opinions! Maybe I need to try the jeans on again when I’m not feeling bloated. Appreciate your feedback. I think I now have the justification to keep the sweat pants. Enough of you have enabled me haha!
Those white jeans are stunning on you! Keep!
thanks allie 🙂 it sounds like you and several others are winning in the “keep the white jeans” category.
Honestly, those white jeans look amazing on you! There is no way that I would send them back if I were you. I also love, love, love the plaid blouse. I think you would get a lot of wear out of it.
thank you! another vote for the white jeans! 🙂
I put both the blouse and the sweat pants in my cart, soooo if you need an enabler, I’m your gal. The blouse is expensive, but that cut and stripe will never go out of style. And since you are in a professional environment, you could wear it casually on the weekends and to work. Plus it would look great with the white jeans :). White jeans are a must. I totally agree with the commenter above that once you own them you won’t believe it took you so long to get them. We are about the same age and stage of life (2 1/2 year old and 4 month old), so white can be a bit dicey, but I wear my white jeans a lot. I vote no on the plaid shirt. There’s something I kind of like about it, but if you are trying to build your wardrobe, kind of like isn’t good enough.
I love your trunk club reviews. I just started doing trunk club too to help build my wardrobe and redefine my style after having kiddos. It is addicting.
Okay so I am def. keeping the sweatpants. I need them. Sort of 😉
I am glad you loved the shirt. I think I am going to wait for fall and invest in an equipment blouse then. The thought of sweating through a silk blouse in the 100 degree temps here right now is not a pleasant thought, haha 🙂 thank you for the advice on the white jeans. It sounds like you and others agree I should keep them so I’m trying them on again!
I think the white jeans are a keeper, even if you save them for next summer. They look stunning on you! And the plaid shirt is different from so many of the things that you wear, so I really like it better than the white top, which is so similar to your usual stuff. I wonder if the coral dress wouldn’t be better with a misting and a tumble in the dryer–it’s very nice on you, and would even look great with a linen jacket or a sweater for work. You did get a great trunk! Seems to be working out better than the previous service you used. Super stylish!
Well, I’m joining in with all those who think the white jeans look absolutely fantastic on you!! Keep them! And the cute Nike sweats–every mom deserves new sweats!! The Nike leggings are super great, too. I’d pass on the plaid shirt and go for a long-sleeved Equipment brand blouse–you can always turn up the sleeves or keep them down in what you’ve mentioned is your chilly office! Great fashion finds! Hope you’ll enjoy them.
Girl, keep the white jeans. They look fab!
And the sweats. Skip Equipment top. Can find it at TjMaxx for less.
I love the plaid top on you, and the sweats are cute! White jeans are amazing and so chic. I think if you keep them you’ll find ways to wear them with more than you think! And the olive dress is fab on you!
