Well hey!
I haven’t done one of these posts forever. I was trying to focus more on style content since I was getting so much feedback that y’all missed those posts, but now I’m hearing that these little updates are missed, so I’ll try to get back into the routine of posting these when I can!
First things first, this adorable little babe will turn ONE on the 10th. This year just flew by and while it was our most difficult by far, it was also our most joyful. I promise to share a one year update, but if you follow me on Snapchat (@veronabrit) you’ll see that Lincoln is pulling up, cruising and taking little steps with help. He’s still in PT every other week getting stronger and stronger!
Every time I share a picture of our car seats, I get a lot of questions about them— they’re the Clek Foonf car seats and they’re amazing. They rear face to 50lbs! Some states are making it a law to rear face until two, so it’s wonderful that more seats are able to accomodate higher RF weight limits.
Harper is still loving her ballet classes and we enrolled her for the fall and winter sessions. They have a little TV outside of the studio so parents can watch and it’s adorable. Her pom pom hair clip is from a local boutique called Doodles.
Harper and I hit up Home Depot and Garden Center after her class to purchase some fall flowers and pumpkins for our front porch. It’s the first time we’ve ever had a front porch so I’m basically in decorating heaven! Maybe I went a little overboard, but I love the end result!
We always go out for lunch somewhere on Saturdays now that my diet is less restricted (I’m only dairy and soy free now, down from being top 8 free). It was nice enough to eat outside this weekend!
While the boys napped, Harper and I decided to make pumpkin bread—she was the best little helper! We used this dairy and soy free recipe. I even gave Lincoln a few bites and he loved it!

The one thing I’ve missed a ton while being dairy and soy free is pizza. While at Disney World (I will be blogging about our trip), I was able to order DF and SF pizza made with the Daiya brand cheese and it was amazing. It never occurred to me to call around to our local pizza places. Well, my bad, because it turns out the place we order from regularly does offer vegan cheese (dammit!) and it was delicious. Today Kevin took Harper to the park while Lincoln napped and then we had some family time in our playroom. This evening, we met with the pastor to go over everything for L’s baptism next week and I’m trying to get the house together for my mom’s visit. Oh, and planning Lincoln’s birthday party. It’s going to be a crazy week.
Lincoln’s romper is by The Whimsical Fox.
Have a great week!
