So, I found the perfect dress for the office. It’s a great length, a beautiful/ timeless style, comes in several colors and is affordable for the quality. This dress is from blogger Rachel Parcell’s clothing line and I’m smitten. I got to meet Rach and attend her session at the conference I went to in April and I enjoyed hearing about her vision for her clothing line and seeing it come to fruition. I love that all of the styles are modest (longer in length) because it can be difficult to find dresses and skirts with hemlines that are work appropriate these days (especially if you’re tall).
I’m wearing a size small, which is supposed to fit a size 4-6, but I think it fits a little on the smaller side, so if you’re between sizes, I would size up. You can also wear this dress unbelted, but I love the way the tie cinches in the waist. Truly though, it’s flattering both ways.rachel parcell red everyday dress (c/o) | sunnies (and the $12 version here!) | lace-up gladitor style sandals | sight purse/laptop bag (c/o and here)
Let’s take a moment now to talk about this bag I was gifted from Sight USA (by the way, this goes without saying, but I never share products on my blog unless I actually like them, whether an item is gifted or not). It’s such a practical handbag — while being something you’d actually want to carry. Its compartments make it so functional – it has a special laptop pocket and is lined with plenty of pockets to hold everything from your phone to your water bottle.
I am the WORST with purses. I have good intentions, I really do. But they always become a no-mans-land of stuff. Old receipts, lip gloss, pens, granola bars, bottled water. They all just end up floating around in the abyss that is my bag, and oftentimes weeks go by before I dump the entire bag to address the situation.
For me, the more compartments a purse has, the merrier. It’s like every time I open it, the pockets are a reminder of where things actually need to go (ie: less of a likelihood that my bag will turn into a black hole).
I should also note that as you’ll see below – the bag also comes with a strap! I love the gold hardware and the simple silhouette of the bag. It’s a “goes with everything” style that’s trendy (but not overly so) and to be honest, the style reminds me of some designer bags that cost a lot more, even on sale. I would definitely recommend this one if you’re on the hunt for a bag that is pretty and practical.
Here’s what’s in my bag:

Hi Veronika. I visit your blog often but I don’t have time to comment. Instagram DMs are much faster and quicker. I have always loved your blog and classic but not basic, always chic and classy style. This red dress was meant for your body and your styling is perfect. I am on board for better lengths in dresses. I am only about 5.6-5.7 tall but I have long legs. Ultimately I think shirt dresses and wrap style dresses are universally flattering and red is my most favorite color. This dress is 100% me.
Also, thanks for sharing that great tote. My bag ends up being exactly like you described it: everything but the kitchen sink all meshed in there lol. I could use a bag like yours. Look how beautifully you organized it.
Ohh and now you can have a link to my blog since it is not linked on my Instagram (@adafurxhi). Keep up the good work gorgeous mama!!
<3 Ada.
