I’ve been blogging for 8 years now, and y’all know I’m a total creature of habit. I find my holy grail never-fail makeup products and I stick with them. Every once in a while, though, I’m tempted to mix some new products into my routine and today I have several to share that are game-changers.
I wear my everyday makeup the same way regardless of which products I use (in terms of product application and placement), but I’m going to share a few new products + product combos that I’ve been loving. Here is my final look with these products combined (my blush feather earrings are here).Below is a breakdown of the products I used (missing are my foundation and brow pencil). By the way, so many of y’all recommended the Estee Lauder double wear light foundation to me from my last post that it’s next on my list to try!
NARS sun wash diffusing bronzer | bobbi brown blush (peony) | charlotte tilbury color chameleon color morphing eyeshadow pencil (dark pearl) | laura mercier transluscent loose setting powder | MAC studio finish concealer SPF 35 | urban decay 24/7 glide-on pencil | MAC eyeshadow (brun) | MAC lipstick (snob) | MAC lipglass (cultured) | lancome hypnose drama instant full volume waterproof mascara | MAC prep + prime highlighter (radiant rose)
Let me start by introducing the NEW products I’m loving and then I’ll share a lipstick and gloss combo that I’ve had for a long time but recently started wearing super frequently.
NARS sun wash diffusing bronzer
I’m a diehard NARS Laguna bronzer fan. I’ve literally been using it for almost 10 years. So when they released a new sun wash bronzer in some new shades (including Laguna), I decided to throw caution to the wind and order the color “seaside,” the lightest of the four available shades. Just to be safe, I also ordered my regular Laguna because a risk-taker, I am not, and I needed a backup since I was out of Laguna.
The first time I used it, I convinced myself I wouldn’t like it. Why fix what isn’t broken? Over the years, I have embraced my fair skin and in the winter, it’s even paler than usual. The sun wash diffusing bronzer in seaside gives you just a slight wash of color — enough to give you some warmth to your skin, but not so much that you look like you’re trying to fake that you just got back from Mexico. I ended up LOVING it and use it daily. Of course, I’ll never let go of the original Laguna, but for winter, I’m sticking with seaside. See you again this summer, Laguna.
charlotte tilbury color chameleon color morphing eyeshadow pencil
I mentioned in my last beauty post that I had my makeup touched up at Charlotte Tilbury and that’s how I discovered these pencils. Many people aren’t aware that you can book a complimentary beauty consultation/makeup application at Nordstrom with zero pressure. You can view the full list of beauty services offered here (there are also paid services like the spa and brow bar). Sometimes, working with someone who knows the products really well helps you try something you might otherwise pass by.
This shadow pencil is…legit. I was debating between the dark pearl (for brown eyes) and the golden quartz (for hazel eyes) because I actually have slightly hazel eyes which you can see a bit in the photo below.
I ended up going with the dark pearl because I LOVED the rich brown with a slight metallic sheen to it. These pencils are created to bring out your eye color and they’re absolutely gorgeous. In these photos I used the pencil to line both my top and bottom lash line, and all this week I’ve been using the shadow pencil on my lower lash line and the MAC eyeshadow on my upper lash line. The color lasts all day long and the slight shimmer really does seem to enhance eye color and just brings a vibrancy to the eyes. It’s rare that I try new eye products that aren’t shadows, but this one was worth it! If you buy one product from this post, I think this has to be it.lancome hypnose drama instant full volume waterproof mascara
This Lancome mascara has a lot of positive reviews, so I decided to try it out, because of all makeup products, mascara is the one product where I’ll try 50 different brands. I love thick, voluminous lashes and I only use waterproof formulas (my lashes will not hold a curl without one) and this mascara delivers. These photos honestly don’t even do it justice — I’ve been wearing it daily since I got it and my lashes look super dark, thick and long.
I actually saved a video from my Instagram stories from the day I shot this look because I think you can see the makeup so well here — including how great this mascara is!
MAC lipstick (snob) + MAC lipglass (cultured)
This lip combo is my current favorite. I love cool-pink toned lipsticks and these two colors work incredibly well together when they’re layered. I’ve tried some bright pink lips this season and love them for festive looks, but for everyday wear, this combo is so feminine and easy to wear.
Lastly, if you still haven’t gotten on the T3 curling wand train…Christmas is the perfect time to treat yourself. I haven’t touched another curling iron since the whirl trio came into my life.
It just creates the most gorgeous waves!

Which barrel of the trio do you love/use the most or do you use them all equally?
I mostly use the one inch one (not the tapered barrel). The one shown in the photo
Of this post. I don’t use the tapered wand but have used the larger one.
