I was blown away by the amount of direct messages on Instagram about the surprise eggs Kevin put together for Christmas this year. Kevin has always been a really thoughtful gift-giver and the kids are going to freak when they see these! I can’t wait to see their faces on Christmas morning when they realize they have their own surprise eggs to open.
If you’re not familiar with surprise eggs, they’re a huge trend on YouTube — some videos have millions of views. Kids love watching each egg being unwrapped and opened to see what’s inside. Some of the videos even feature giant eggs covered in playdoh. I never understood why kids love them so much, but then one of my readers said we as adults watch bloggers’ try-on sessions and day-to-day lives on Instagram, and it made sense, haha!
I had Kevin send me links to everything he ordered to make the surprise eggs — but the options are really limitless — and it’s all on prime so you’ll get it fast. He picked things the kids are really into right now but of course you can totally customize these to any child’s interests. You could also add things like hair bows and clips, headbands, chapstick, a new toothbrush — anything goes, truly.

Kevin made four eggs (two for each child) and mixed in the surprise eggs seen above with some of the funko toys and other toys he purchased. I will definitely share a video of the kid’s reactions to their very own surprise eggs.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
