HAPPY FRIDAY! My sweet girl, the one who made me a mother, is turning FIVE this weekend. FIVE! I can’t quite believe it’s true. Harper wanted a unicorn and rainbows birthday party, and here’s to hoping we can pull it off. My friend Tiffany at Magnolia Bloom Boutique set me up with some great party decor…can’t wait to share it with y’all!
Also, this isn’t a real Friday Five…it’s kind of more of a Friday Mix…ha 🙂 I couldn’t keep it to just five things this week.
THE PAJAMAS YOU NEED IN YOUR LIFE…
I got these pink cherry-print pajamas in the mail this week (top here, bottoms here) and they are SO GOOD and 50% off right now. I got a medium (the shorts are on the shorter side) and you seriously need these in your life this summer. Like don’t even read the rest of this post until you’ve ordered them because they’re that cute.EARLY THOUGHTS ON P.VOLVE
Did y’all know P.volve workout gear is on amazon with prime shipping?! YAS! I’ve been doing the workouts for over 2 weeks now and LOVE them. I find I’m actually able to do four workouts a week because though they’re a bit longer, they’re not the same intensity/sweat level of BBG. Don’t get me wrong — you will feel the burn in muscles you’ve never felt before (in a good way) but it’s not like jumping and sweating buckets, which for me requires more recovery time. Stephen Pasternio describes it as micro-toning and there’s no better way to describe it. I personally own the p-ball and the P.volve heavy ankle band. I also ordred these dumbbells and these sliding discs. I plan to share a tour of my workout room with all of my gear eventually so that you can see how it’s all set up.
A lot of you have been asking for a full-on P.volve review but I want to do a full 30 days of workouts before sharing my thoughts. However, please listen to this podcast ASAP (here too) and know that so far, I LOVE IT. Stephen has trained Victoria’s Secret models, so if that’s the kind of musculature you’re looking for (and you want to tighten and tone and not add lots of muscle bulk or lift heavy), then this is a good option for you.
AFFORDABLE SPORTS BRAS, GALORE!
Speaking of fitness, Amazon has some really cute and affordable sports bras – this one, this one and this one are on my wish list!
A TOP THAT CAN BE WORN BOTH WAYS
I ordered this top after seeing Bridget rocking it…love that it can be worn both forwards and backwards.
YETI 20 OZ TUMBLER IS ON AMAZON — THANK GOODNESS!
I finally found my beloved Yeti tumblers on Amazon. Praise! You will never have your coffee go cold again. I love it so much I keep one at the office and one at home. This is one of the best gifts if you need something for a teacher in your life as school is coming to an end!
DO YOU CUBE?
I need to purchase some packing cubes for our upcoming travels and found these cute pink ones – do you use packing cubes when you travel?
HOW IS YOUR SLEEP? DON’T ASK MY HUSBAND.
I ordered this gel infused foam mattress topper to see if it helps Kevin hate our mattress any less…TBD! The recommendation came from Jean of Extra Petite – and she always has the best reccs! Do you use one? We will eventually get a new mattress, but for now, we will try this.
BAMBOO FOR LIFE
How cute are these melamine bamboo plates? I ordered a set of four and they’re darling – note that they’re dishwasher but not microwave safe.
A CUTE KITCHEN RUG FOR UNDER $15
Who needs a striped kitchen rug? I ordered a couple and am using them in our smaller bathrooms. They’re a steal at under $15 a piece! (see the blue and white rug in the pic above!) They have a very coastal vibe (which I love).
MORE NORDSTROM FAVES B/C, IT’S FRIDAY AND THEY’RE AWESOME
The Nordstrom sale has even more cute items I discovered today…like this dress and this one (for toddlers).
Other items I think are worth a look are this barefoot dreams blanket (it is the best ever), these measuring cups, this driftwood bowl, these octopus book ends would be so cute in a nursery, office or playroom, this lemon tray is so fun for summer, this colorful rug is so fun, how gorgeous are these food storage bowls? and finally, this palm art print.
This amazing dress is also 50% off…LOVE!
I just found these beauties on amazon for $60 versus the $90 you’ll pay on other sites! Ordered!
Have a great weekend!

So I am fully converted to the packing cube life! It keeps us soooo much more organized. There’s a few different schools of organizing thought–organizing by type (aka all tops in one cube, all shorts in another, etc.) OR by outfit (1-2 complete outfits including undergarments per cube). I personally prefer the former, as I’m apt to change my mind on what shorts I want to pair with a particular top on vacation, or I’ll change pieces of an outfit throughout the day but not everything. I also am one of those who needs to unpack on vacation (I can’t live out of a suitcase), but it’s nice to put cubes in hotel drawers rather than clothes directly. Huge fan!
Also, I purchased a similarly cheap set on Amazon and it’s suited my needs just fine as I don’t overstuff the cubes (I don’t want unnecessary wrinkles upon arrival). Plus, I treat them pretty gently. Perhaps if I was planning on being more rough on them I’d invest in Eagle Creek or other pricey ones, but I’d prefer to save my travel funds for more exciting purchases! So I bet you’ll like the ones you linked to!
