I hope you’ve had a good week! I’ve been having some sleep issues but other than that the week has been ok. I’m consistently waking up between 3-4 a.m. and also dreaming a lot, which is usually a sign that I’m stressed. I mean, who isn’t stressed right now? There is so much uncertainty, no answers on when things might return to normal, fear, etc. If you’re feeling a bit disoriented, that’s totally normal. Here we go…
GO CLEAN CO.
Unless you live under a rock, you’re probably following Go Clean Co. on Instagram. We have the privilege of having a wonderful woman clean our home every other week, but during this quarantine, we’re having her stay at home for her safety and ours.
I’ve been following this account to learn all of the best methods and products for cleaning your home (who knew Barkeeper’s Friend, powdered Tide and blue Dawn dish soap were must-haves?) Don’t get me wrong, before we had a cleaning lady and in between professional cleanings, we still cleaned, but this is a new level of deep-cleaning and I love it. Make sure to check out their IG highlights to learn how to properly clean each space and dilute the cleaners. As. side note, I still can’t find bleach anywhere.
KEEPING YOUR COUCH IN SHAPE
I’ve been covering the bench seats of our sofas with blankets since getting our living room sofa over four years ago. So, when we got our new Pottery Barn York slope arm slipcovered sofa (ours it the ivory performance linen) for the game room/family room, I wanted to get a blanket that really “blended in” for the bench seat.
I ordered this waffle blanket in the twin size to cover the bench seat (I wrapped it all the way around and tucked it in underneath and on the sides). We have a woven/wool one on our main sofa in our living room and four years later, the couch still looks great. It’s just one thing you can do for lighter-colored furniture. Our couches are slipcovered, but I don’t want to be taking the covers on and off constantly, so this is a great way to protect the fabric on the area where people sit. I like this waffle texture because it blends in a little better than the sweater-knit style blanket we had on it before. Plus, its thinner. Our kids mostly play on the rug in this room (they literally build things out of LEGOs and Magnatiles 3 hours a day), but they lounge on the couch for morning TV on weekends (and sometimes afternoon TV when we are working from home!)
These amazing leopard pillows are by Annabel Bleu in the SCHUMACHER sky leopard print. Her pillows are incredibly well made and her fabric selections are beautiful. The cream kint pillow is here.
UNDER-THE-SINK ORGANIZING
I’ve been obsessed with cleaning and organizing as of late (it helps my anxiety with all that’s going on) and ordered the best under-the-sink storage solution. The reason this one is so great is because it has two pull-out drawers for storage but also has a top. So, I can store my most reached-for products on the top and stow away ones I use less frequently in the drawers. I am also planning to purchase another system for underneath our kitchen sink.
FAVORITE FINDS & RECENT PURCHASES
- Our new patio rug (got the light blue stripe in 9 x 12)
- Melamine plate
- Kitchen towel (what a fun print!)
- I ordered a set of these Colefax & Fowler Bowood pillows – swoon over the print!
- LEGO boat set for Harper and Batman LEGO set for Lincoln (from grandma and grandpa!)
- Acrylic picture frame
- A new mascara I’m loving
- My ring light
- My favorite down pillow inserts for decorative pillows (always order the insert 2 inches larger than your pillow case – so for a 20 x 20 pillow case, order the 22 x 22 pillow insert. This ensures full, fluffy pillows!)

- Our new steam mop – we use this on our tile!
NODRSTROM SALE FAVES
Nordstrom has a wonderful sale happening now. These pave earrings are my most-worn of all time – they’re the same price now as during Nsale!

BUILT-IN RE-STYLING
When we moved into our new home, I took the decorative objects and accessories I had on hand and styled our game room built-ins. They always felt a little cluttered to me, but I wasn’t in the mood to play around with them.
After working on a post wit Aryn on how to style built-ins, I was finally inspired to get the ball rolling and de-clutter my shelves. I’m so pleased with how it came out! I even painted some books with leftover paint to make them more neutral for stacking objects (Aryn wraps hers in linen paper, but I didn’t have that on hand). I love how much airier they feel now! You can find the leopard bookends here and other styling items in this post. The long wooden bowl is by Megan Molten.
Have a great weekend!

I have been loving all of your posts! I enjoy reading your content so much. I have also been obsessing over Go Clean Co. and have bought so many of the things she has recommended. Having the same trouble finding bleach (at least the Clorox brand. I finally found some other brand through calling our local Ace hardware and getting it curbside).

Thank you so much! And thanks for the bleach recommendation!
