I’ve found some really cute dresses and tops at Target and Amazon recently and want to share before some of these sell out (especially the Target items which tend to go quickly!)
First things first, let’s cover the other items worn in this post: my sunglasses and Golden Goose sneakers (FYI I changed out the laces – I bought these ones on amazon – come with tons of colors – I’m even using them on the kid’s shoes to add a fun pop of color!) I also forgot to wear it in these photos, but this gold initial necklace is so good – I purchased it recently and really love the fun chain and detailing on the pendant.
Puff sleeved tiered dress (size XS)
I almost always size a full size down in any Target dress. I find most of their women’s brands to run about a size larger, with some exceptions of course! I love the color and texture of this dress and that it can be worn two ways – on the shoulders and off. It’s equally cute with heels as it is with sneakers.
Lavender swiss dot dress (size XS)
This is the second color I’ve ordered in this style (I also have the light blue!) I just adore everything about it – it’s amazing with GG sneakers and could also be perfect for family beach photos – it’s really versatile. The swiss dot texture is the icing on the cake and makes it look and feel more expensive. This dress is something I’d expect to get at Nordstrom.
The white v-neck ruffle sleeve dress (size small)
I have this dress in red and love it, so decided to order the white for summer. It could be a date night dress or worn casually with sneakers for day-to-day. The sleeves have a cute ruffle detail and the fabric has a visible linen-like texture. Fits true to size.
The mint striped tee (size small)
I try to avoid buying a lot of t-shirts because the collection can add up, but I couldn’t resist this one. The price point is great. ($12!) and it fits true to size (though it’s meant to have a slightly boxy fit). I like the sleeve length and the mint and dark green stripe combo. The tee also has a burnout texture which is fun.
Mint smocked dress with flutter sleeves (size xs)
This dress has a lot of fun detail – subtle polka dots, flutter detail at the sleeves and a cute cutout at the back (there are strings to tie it together). It’s really lightweight and comfortable.
Crewneck extended shoulder sweater (size small)
This, IMO, is a wardrobe must-have. In fact, I have a similar top from LOFT a couple of years ago that I still reach for constantly. I love how chic it looks – you could throw this on with no makeup, jeans and your hair in a topknot and still look put together. It just has that shape that looks effortless yet pulled together. I’d order your true size as it’s meant to be an oversize fit.
The floral purse strap
This took a few weeks to come in, but wow – what a fun way to jazz up any handbag. I originally saw it on Kathleen’s blog, and ordered it immediately. I know an accessory like this is not for everyone, but I’ve really loved it on my LV pochette Metis.
Yellow floral dress (size xs)
I have to admit I don’t love this dress. It feels a little juvenile on me (and for the record, I LOVE dresses like Hill House’s nap dresses, but they’re a totally different style and fit). I think the pattern is pretty and it’s cute, but it was a miss for me overall.
I hope you liked these finds! I haven’t purchased clothes like I used to in quite some time, so it’s fun to shop again and also to build my closet with my new routine in mind. Don’t worry though – I will continue to share looks and pieces that are work-friendly. After more than a decade in the corporate world, I’m still very much drawn to styles that have the versatility to be worn to the office or with denim.
