Fall Home Decor Picks

It might seem a little early, but fall decor tends to sell out from popular retailers, so I’m trying to get my content out earlier this year.

I won’t be decorating for fall until late September because we’re having family photos taken in our home and I’d like to avoid having any seasonal decor in them, but after that, I’ll be going full speed ahead.

Christmas will always be my favorite time to decorate, but I love fall touches throughout the home, especially now that it’s more acceptable to decorate for fall outside of the typical red, orange and yellow confines.

Last fall, I actually painted some faux pumpkins in various tones of pink and blue, using paint I already had at home and I loved the way it turned out! I’m planning to re-use them this year. I also have handpainted chinoiserie pumpkins from Cailini Coastal last year.

ANOTHER FUN IDEA FOR KIDS...
I added these $10 3D bats around our upstairs mirror above the dresser in our family room space last fall and the kids loved it! I also plan to replicate it this year – I’ve seen this done around mantles too – I like it because it looks a little less “juvenile” than most Halloween decor.

Target, as always has some really fun, unique and on-trend fall pieces this season – but warning, they do sell out quickly. I find their fall decor to be a little more understated and many of the items can be used year-round. I especially love their branches and greenery offerings this year – their faux florals never disappoint.

I also found some fanstasic affordable fall decor options on amazon! I included some more whimsical items as well. I really adore those velvety pumpkins and encourage you to get a set of plain white faux pumpkins so you can paint them whatever colors you desire – that’s the fun of it!
