December is such a busy time of year and between shopping for last-minute gifts, wrapping up the last weeks of school before break and work, everyone’s to-do lists can feel pretty overwhelming!
Despite the holiday craziness, one thing we always make time for this month is decorating gingerbread houses and baking cookies – it’s something we all enjoy and it really brings us into a festive spirit!
Our Walmart+ membership is something we use year-round to save time and money, but it really comes in clutch during these busy holiday months. I’ve been using our Walmart+ membership all month long to order fresh, high-quality groceries, last-minute toys and gifts and maybe even a few items for myself, like this gorgeous lilac funnel neck coat (merry Christmas to me!)
December is without a doubt my busiest time of year for work and our Walmart+ membership makes planning and prepping everything from meals, fun holiday activities like gingerbread house decorating and shopping for gifts so much easier (and you can order as often as you like, since the free deliveries are unlimited!) This means I can focus on work and making memories with my family while everything we need is conveniently (and quickly!) delivered to our home. I’ve mentally calculated how much time it saves me to use my Walmart+ membership and it’s several hours between making a list of what I need, driving to the store, getting every item I need, checking out, driving home, etc.
Last week, I added all of the ingredients we needed for our weekend cookie baking extravaganza and gingerbread house kits and candy to our regular Walmart+ grocery delivery order and it was all delivered to our home the next morning at a time that was convenient for us – it couldn’t be easier. The best part is that I’m getting all of my items at the same low prices I’d get in store. It saves us so much time and it’s also an opportunity to show our appreciation to the wonderful delivery drivers with a a generous tip for their hard work, especially during the holidays!

The kids loved making their gingerbread house creations (and so did I!) It’s such a fun holiday activity and keeps kids busy for hours – just be sure to put a cap on how much of the candy is consumed versus used to decorate the gingerbread house, haha!
