When we found out we were expecting, I was so excited to get started on the nursery. Even before I knew if we were having a boy or girl, I knew I wanted a very calm, neutral and serene space. I wanted lots of pops of white to make the room feel crisp and airy.
I’m really happy with how Harper’s room turned out and I can’t wait to share it with you all right now! I decided to add mint green to my color palette after not liking the way light pink was looking in the room. I think the mint green makes the space feel really fresh. I also installed wall bookshelves to add a pop of color to the otherwise neutral space.
The first two photos were taken by Allen Kramer during my maternity photo shoot and the rest were taken by me. Many thanks to Melissa at Fawn Over Baby for editing the color balance in these photos!
Her dresser, which we also use as a changing table. Please note I removed the changing pad for these photos. The gold prints don’t read as well on camera as they do in real life—they are beautiful!

Love everything – you are so talented at decorating! The grey color scheme is so soothing & beautiful, love the texture added by the faux sheepskin. The book ledge on the wall is a brilliant idea. You and Harper are going to have such a fun time together in here 🙂

A sweet room for a beautiful baby girl. Enjoy motherhood. It is a journey like no other. I noticed Harper's library. As a teacher and a Mimi always read to Harper. It affords a great educational foundation and a special time each day with your daughter.
Beautiful! I love that it's so light, bright and neutral and the gold prints and the "H" are so glam!
This is so beautiful! Harper is lucky to have you for her mommy!
Absolutely gorgeous!! You should go into home design!
Beautiful room! You accomplished the calm and serene part. (As an aside, I don't think you "owe" anyone a disclaimer about the bumpers or netting, either. 😉
So lovely! Congrats on the little one!
I really love how this came together! Serene and polished but still with a few whimsical touches. Really beautiful 🙂
What a beautiful room! So feminine and classic. I love the bookshelves, too!
Looks amazing V! What a sweet space of course I'm dying over the gold bunnies (you know me)… I know you've been super busy but I shared some some news on Friday… Come check it out 😉
The room is beautiful! So fresh, clean and calm. Love it!
Holy moly you are perfection!
OMG! this is the sweetest nursery! It's so pretty. Evrything is perfect, enjoy your baby! these are the best times.

So beautiful and calming…just what a baby needs! The mint green is perfect, I think! Love the H above the crib too! Oh, and my son has always slept with a bumper and I saw the questions about the nap nanny on instagram and we used it for many months and we love it too!
Hey Veronika! Beautiful room! Congrats on your adorable baby girl! Moo Baa Lalala is my absolute favorite baby book. My baby boy just loves it. 🙂 As a side note, while I know people will make rude comments about bumpers one way or another, I can tell you that I planned to remove our bumpers once our baby started sleeping in his room and when that day finally came (around 6 months), we actually decided he seemed safer and more comfortable with the bumpers. All that to say—you have to decide as a parent what you feel comfortable with and what you feel is the safest. I would guess that most of the people out there with really strong opinions probably do something on their own that isn't the safest thing possible. You'll figure it out as you go! And don't stress about baby-proofing yet…you have a long ways to go before that becomes a concern. Best wishes to you!
It's the best nursery I've ever seen! Wow so pretty! She's a lucky girl
absolutely lovely. I have been swooning over a similar color scheme for my next nursery whenever baby #2 comes along.
It's such a beautiful room! You did an amazing job. Love the neutral palette…will be very serene for baby girl! 🙂
I love how beautiful and simple it is! I struggled with the simple part myself and so have taken various items down as I decide they're unnecessary. Now it just looks incomplete… Harper's is lovely.
oh, it is GORGEOUS. Next baby I have, you're coming to NC to decorate for me 🙂
Gorgeous room! I would love the ottoman for my son's nursery, but did not see it on the RH website link. Did you buy online or in store?
Beautiful! I love the chandelier, I hope to get one for Aubrey's room when we move into our new home. The bunny theme is so cute- love the wall prints and rocker. Your glider looks so cozy and that can definitely transition into another room once she grows. You did a great job, it's so calm, serene, and fresh.
Just wanted to mention to you that we did a change pad on top of a dresser and we weren't using the buckle, so we tucked it underneath and it scratched the top of our dresser pretty badly. After we fixed it we put down some of that semi-thick shelf liner down under the change pad and it works great. Bonus – it keeps the change pad from sliding around!
Very calming. Will you be adding anything with bright or contrasting colors too? Young babies don't have strong vision so they're mostly stimulated by items high contrasts (e.g. black/white, black/red, etc). That's why a lot of baby mobiles are very colorful.
LOVE!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Harper is one lucky little lady!
oh hun it turned out just perfect! LOVE it!!
Such a lovely nursery – my jaw dropped, it's so gorgeous but serene and calm at the same time! I'm really loving all of the touches of gold, especially that "H" hanging behind the crib! Really pulls things together 🙂
What a perfect nursery! I love how feminine and pretty it is!

This is so gorgeous! It looks like such a calming space for mama and baby! I also love the pennant bunting on the crib. Well done!!
Beautiful! It's so bright and airy. I'm really loving the accents of gold as well!

Absolutely stunning! Do you know the name of the bedskirt from RH? Thank you-
Beautiful!! It looks so clean and refreshing and I love the touch of gold you added!
Very pretty nursery, I love the gold prints over the dresser. Where is the ottoman from? I have been looking for one and I really like yours.
ooops, ignore my ottoman questions, I just scrolled back up and saw that you said it's from RH. 🙂
Gorgeous! I've been looking forward to this post. What is the paint color called?
Beautiful nursery – I love the serene feel of it. Sorry if I missed it – but what color are the walls?
Thanks!
It is just beautiful Veronika! You did an amazing job, I love love love it – it's exactly what I would want for a baby girl too!
Congratulations on the arrival of Harper! Her nursery looks SO chic and lovely.
I bought this to hold our changing pad. It's very heavy and looks great on a dresser. Just thought you might be interested! https://www.amazon.com/Argington-Anywhere-Changing-Tray-White/dp/B004V2WMUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339012170&sr=8-1

Oh it's so dreamy! Absolutely beautiful! These pictures kind of make me want to redo our nursery but my husband would kill me lol We painted our nursery gray too and love how clean the walls look. I am in love with the chandelier! Miss Harper Reese is one lucky little lady 🙂

Wowwww you truly are a gifted decorator. You should work for a home interior design magazine or something! 😀 Green/mint-ish colors are my favorite because they're natural and calming.
Looks amazing!! Great job 🙂 BTW where are the white curtains from and did you purchase them recently? thanks!!
suz—they are from RH Baby & Child
Hi, congrats on the baby. I'm just wondering if you're going to be posting any more fashion/beauty updates or is it going to be more about baby stuff from now on? I feel like all my favorite bloggers have turned into nothing but baby stuff 🙁 I'm def nowhere near the age of having a child, so I'm wondering if I'll have to find another other blogs to read now? Thank you
this nursery is so perfect and harper is gorgeous!

Catching up on all of your posts & EEEEEK! This nursery is amazing 🙂 Hope your princess loves it as much as we do.
The nursery is gorgeous perfect for a little princess! Love the ottoman is it the small size or the larger one 🙂
@maria rodriguez- it's the large one
Love the nursery and I'm looking at the ottomans at RH for our second nursery. Do you know the name of the color you purchased? It appears to be a light gray in your pictures which would work perfectly in our room but all I see right now is what seems to be a darker gray called Dove and a cream color called Natural. Thanks!
I believe it is called dove gray— but mine looks lighter than the pic shows on the site…so I don't know if it's just a bad pic or if they changed the color or something? sorry 🙁
So pretty! Even though we went the opposite route with our nursery (lots and lots of colors), I think this monotone gray is nicely done 🙂 The chandelier was a great idea, it really makes the room.
I love this! You have fantastic taste. I've been in search of your ottoman. I can't find it on RH Baby or RH. Did you purchase in store or on-line?
Beautiful nursery! I love the feel of the room. I've been searching for your ottoman. I can't find it on RHBaby.com or RH.com. DId you purchase in store?
@deidreI would call the store. I don't see it online but it was online a few weeks ago. I ordered at the store to get free shipping but they ordered it from the website. Call customer service they can help! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! I am positive that Harper loves her room!
I love the curtains! Are these the same ones you have downstairs in your kitchen? I know you said you purchased them from RH Baby & Child, but I was wondering what style and color they are. They have optic white and warm white on the site. I absolutely love your style!
The ones in the kitchen at Thai Silk and the nursery ones are cotton. I got the optic white 🙂
Beautiful nursery! I love the crib skirt. I know you said you bought it at RH Baby & Child…what color is it?
Gray mist
Awesome chandelier and nursery. Can you please provide the dimensions of the chandelier?
What carpet did you choose to go with the Revere Pewter walls here?
This is the most beautiful nursery I've ever seen!
I absolutely love this nursery!
Hi Veronika,
Like the carpet! Can i have the brand and model, please?? Thanks a lot
I'm sorry but I don't have that information because our house was a model home so we didn't pick it. I actually can't recommend this carpet either and would encourage you to check out other options. The color is not ideal and it shows any kind of dirt and debris very quickly. Hope this helps!
Hi Veronika,
Thanks for the reply!! I really like your home work, you have a very good taste. Any color or pattern would you recommend for the carpet (living room)? Thanks a lots! Have a nice weekend!
Even before I knew if we were having a boy or girl, I knew I wanted a … babycribsforgirls.blogspot.com
Veronica- what's the name of the bed skirt and curtains? I'm looking for the right ones on the Restoration Hardware website.
Thanks!! 🙂 Beautiful nursery!
the bedskirt is the gray mist gathered linen one and the curtains are the cotton canvas in optic white!
What bible verse did you use above the dresser? I love everything about this nursery!
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.
This room is so gorgeous! Veronika – is the Revere Pewter full strength? It looks lighter (in a good way) than pictures of other homes I've seen online
thank you! yes it is full strength but the photos were brightened up a bit because some of them were a little dark and didnt represent the true brightness of the room.
Hi! Where are your frames from? I love your blog!
IKEA ribba frames
Hi there! Where is your flag from on the crib? LOVE your nursery!
Hi there! Where is your flag from? Love your nursery!
I'm sorry! I see it's on here as "bunting." Just never heard it called that before! Do you know the brand and style type of the glider?
I'm sorry I don't remember the style or brand. It's from a local boutique in houston cles doodles. It's one of their best sellers.
What finish did you use for Revere pewter????
Nursery is stunning!! I want to do that exact paint color and I see that it’s Benjamin Moore’s “Revere Pewter” but when I google that color it looks darker than in your pictures. Did you get the color lightened by any chance? Thanks so much!
No I did not, but the pictures were lightened to be brighter and have ideal white balance. If you want something lighter, we used sherwin williams “first star” in our new home! It’s a little lighter. Very neutral and airy.
do you know what color you used on the walls? and is it more of a tan or a grey?
It’s revere pewter by benjamin moore— it’s a very light neutral gray. My new house has sherwin williams first star which is even lighter and I prefer it. Check out my son’s nursery here: https://www.veronikasblushing.com/2017/01/lincolns-nursery-reveal.html
This is so beautiful! What is the carpet in the room? It’s perfect.
May i ask where you got your curtains from…..Very stunning room by the way
They’re RH baby & child
Could you tell me the make and color of the carpeting in the nursery.
Thank you!
I’m sorry Mary – this was a model home and we did not select the carpet. Having said that, we hated this carpet and would never choose it for a home. I recommend looking into light colored Berber carpet (it’s what we have in our current home and we adore it!)
