Friday Five

I feel like I haven’t done a real Friday Five in forever – but I pulled it together this week to get some updates going.

O N E
I shared on stories recently that I’m going to be working with an interior designer on our master bedroom. I can’t truly say I’ve ever loved our master bedroom in any of our three homes. It’s always the space that gets thrown to the bottom of the priority list. Our bedroom is large (not a bad thing!) and it’s bright and airy (definitely a great thing) but I’d like it to feel complete and add some more texture/patterns in the space. We currently have four dressers in the room (two as bedside tables and two others) which feels like a lot, even though there’s still plenty of room in the space. I’m so curious to see what our designer comes up with in terms of how we should lay out the room and what we should remove/add. I’m already building Pinterest boards with rooms I love! I love designing the spaces in our home and getting one piece at a time, but after following so many home blogs and interior designer’s feeds, I can see why doing it all at once and then doing an “install” can make a space more enjoyable.

Gray Malin, aerial beach photographer extraordinaire, just came out with a new children’s book called Be Our Guest and I immediately purchased it on amazon! I love his work (I have this book too) and can’t wait to share his beautiful images with the kids.

We just booked our summer trip and I’m so excited for some beach time. We’ll be heading somewhere in Florida – more to come on that. In the meantime, I’m crushing on this beach tote, this ruffle swimsuit and so many swim cover-ups. I also can’t wait to wear all of the suits I got during the ShopBop sale – woohoo! I have heard a ton of great things about this inexpensive swimwear brand also — have y’all purchased from this brand?

Harper’s rainbow dress is here. I also got Lincoln this shirt. Great quality and similar styles to Boden for less than half the cost. 

How do you like your Nespresso machine?
I’m obsessed! I have this one, which brews both coffee and espresso pods. I keep it at my desk at work since we already have a different model at home and only use that on weekends. It also comes with a milk frother, so I used unsweet vanilla almond milk and mix in cinnamon powder. I love the taste of their coffee (my favorite is the Vanizio and the banana flavor) and the espresso pods are also amazing (I order the Altissio and the Voltesso). Nespresso pods are more cost-efficient that daily Starbucks and I love having “fancy” coffee and lattes every morning versus the office coffee (not knocking it, just love the creamy/frothy way Nespresso pods brew).

What do you use to drink your coffee?
Everyone needs this 20 oz Yeti rambler. Seriously. Buy one for yourself, buy one for every mom in your life. They keep drinks piping hot so no more “I’m always drinking cold coffee!” NO MORE, my friends. This is the best $30 you’ll ever spend and if you give one as a gift, you will get ALL THE TEXTS about how hot your friend’s coffee still is. Seriously. Best coffee cup ever (sorry, mugs).
