What I’m reading
I’m currently listening to China Rich Girlfriend by Kevin Kwan on Audible. In my Audible queue, I also have Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown, The Couple Next Door, The Last Mrs. Parrish and When Breath Becomes Air. Audiobooks have been a game-changer. I love Podcasts and still listen to them regularly, but audiobooks have been a wonderful addition to my life – I love that I can “read” regularly now and can’t believe I didn’t start using Audible sooner (not sponsored, btw, just love it). I listen primarily when I commute and can usually finish a book in a week or two.
What I’m listening to
I just finished the podcast Dr. Death, and it’s a must-listen and seriously disturbing. I’ve also been enjoying the interviews on the Goop podcast and recently subscribed to Rachel Hollis’ podcast, RISE (she’s the author of Girl, Wash Your Face).
What I’m writing
Lists, apparently. Based on all of your advice and feedback, I ordered The 5 Minute Journal, 52 Lists for Happiness and the 5 Year Q&A book for moms (I even got the three-year kids version for Harper). I think journaling will be a great way to be more intentional about practicing gratitude and reflecting on life in general. I’m keeping these on my night stand so that I can get into the habit of filling them out most days of the week.
What I’m wearing (at work)
Remember the long cardigan, sweater blazer and collarless blazer I ordered from J.Crew recently? Well, I’m obsessed and they’re in heavy rotation Monday-Friday. I can’t imagine more perfect pieces to have in your work wardrobe. They go with everything! On days I have important meetings, I opt for the black blazer most often. On days where I want to look a little more polished, I go for the navy sweater blazer. And when I want to be casual yet pulled together, the collarless long cardigan is my go-to. The camel color is such a fantastic neutral. J.Crew is having a buy more, save more, sale, so now’s a good time to add these staples to your closet.
Speaking of staples — these oval earrings and this star necklace arrived from the Shopbop sale and they’re perfect!Links I love
I mentioned that I’m trying to listen to stories in Slovak to retain my knowledge and understanding of the language since I never speak it anymore. I have a cassette tape of a French fairy tale I listened to as a child called Babiola, but no cassette player. YouTube came to the rescue – they have the entire story audio in Slovak and I was able to listen to it there. I don’t think I realized as a child how truly intense the plot was. Here is a synopsis and full translation if you’re curious.
Emily’s post on the responsibility of social media influencers was a favorite this week. I also loved her post about why you might be in a rut at work.
I got the sweetest dress for Harper this week – and Nordstrom will price match to Boden (and it’s free shipping!)
We started randomly watching Gossip Girl from the very start this week…and then I saw this article. I kind of miss that GG style. Also, this video made me laugh out loud. Like, very loud.
The P.Volve team shared a great post about how to eliminate bloat.
I got my flu shot at work this week and saw this list of retailers giving out FREE flu shots. We always try to vaccinate as early as possible since we have young children and I am sometimes around immunocompromised patients and newborns.

My co-worker wore a super chic white button-up to work yesterday and of course it’s under $25! #addtocart
I really want this step stool for the kids bathroom…but will be waiting for a sale.
Sara wrote a post about why they decided to reduce screen time.
Liz shared an Instant Pot turkey chili recipe.
