Each holiday season, I love to showcase my favorite things in gift guide format to share ideas for what I think are good gifts for friends, family members, co-workers or yourself! Everything on this list is an items I personally own and a few are wish list items. I love sharing things I already own and love because I can recommend them with full confidence.Emily Ley Happy Stripe Pen + A Simplified Life Book
This pen makes me happy every time I use it. The colorful stripes are so cheerful and it has a nice, heavy weight to it. Plus, you can get new ink for it, so it’s one you’ll keep forever.
Framebridge Mandalay frame
This gold bamboo frame is seriously my favorite – I’ve had several pieces of art framed in it and also did their “Instagram size” Mandalay frames, which are just $40 per frame and make such a wonderful gift for anyone. You can upload a photo from your computer or Instagram. This frame will make a statement in any home.
Minted Art
Speaking of frames – I love Minted for art. Art, of course, is very personal, but I feel like there’s really something for everyone on Minted. I love this floral print and this ocean print.
Coffee table/design books
I wrote an entire post recently about my favorite design books (see it here), but whether someone is into fashion, home décor or any other topic, a coffee table book is a wonderful gift that most people display in their homes, so they’ll think of you each time they see it. Side note: I also really want Teil Duncan’s coffee table book – it’s the one thing truly on my wish list. I’m a huge fan of her art and have two of her beach prints framed in our home.
O-venture key ring
This key ring is a life-saver. I wear it on my wrist during school drop-off, pick-up, walking to my car, etc. It allows you to not have to worry about dropping your keys are you’re carrying backpacks, helping your kids get their coats on, etc. It makes such a great gift and is so cute. PS- use code VERONIKA15 at checkout for 15% off of your order!
Ginger jars
Lord help me, as if I need another one, but I’ve got a passion for blue and white jars and I’m not afraid to show it. You can find all of my faves, here.
Drunk Elephant Skincare
if you want to splurge on a gift, DE is it! This skincare line has been truly incredible for my skin and the products really work. DE usually releases holiday gift sets that allow you to get more products for the price of one. See them here.
Juliska bamboo dinner plates
Have I mentioned my love of bamboo? These plates are on the pricier side at $40 a plate, but they’re dishwasher and microwave safe and make such a statement on your table. I purchased mine during Cyber Monday and got a set of four for 20% off.
Barefoot Dreams blanket
There is no better cozy gift than this blanket. I got mine a couple of years ago during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and use it every.single.day. No blanket compares to this one in terms of softness, coziness, etc. The size is perfect and the leopard print is freaking amazing.
Rothy’s
In a month, I’ve ordered three pairs of Rothy’s that’s how good they are. I might as well sell all of my other flats because none compare to these. NONE. These are SO comfortable, stylish and WASHABLE. Yes!!! In the washing machine!!! I’m going to get real here for a moment – my feet get stinky. I feel like it’s genetic because I wash them thoroughly and make sure they’re fully dry, etc. They just get sweaty and stinky, especially in Houston summers. I’ve had to throw away flats I love because they were just too gross to keep wearing despite cleaning them on the inside with alcohol or using a minty shoe spray. It sucks to throw shoes you love away. Rothy’s are machine washable and come out of the wash looking and smelling LIKE NEW. They’re made from recycled plastic. The pairs I have are all the “point” style – I have leopard dot, big cat and navy. I know they’re $145, but you can wash them and they are such amazing quality. They’ve got a little stretchy feeling to them so they really conform to your foot. Just trust me on this – I haven’t felt this passionate about a shoe, maybe ever.
Weighted blanket
This is an item I don’t yet have, but badly want. I have read that weighted blankets can help reduce anxiety and make your sleep quality better. Sign me up!
Scalloped bedding
Scallops are a favorite motif of mine (see my logo, ha) and I love adding touches of scallops in bedding.
Brass cookbook and tablet stand
This is a wish list item for me. I’d love to have a cookbook stand for when Harper and I bake together and love this brass one since we have so many brass accents in our home.
Yeti mug
Not a day goes by where I don’t use my Yeti mug. Yetis are the universal solution to the “my coffee gets cold before I can drink it!” line you hear from mothers across the universe. Buy this for yourself, buy it for a friend, never use that line again. Also, microwaved coffee tastes gross to me – save yourselves!
Lake or J.Crew pajamas
I love me a matching PJ set. I used to just sleep in whatever tee, but there’s something about a two-piece matching set that makes me feel happy and like real adult (lol). Plus, it’s a nice gift to give and receive!
I hope you love some of my favorite things! More gift guides are coming soon – including ideas from my co-workers – so excited to share!
